We embarrassed OKC. They are going to come out for blood. If Patrick is effectively harassing Westbrook again don't be shocked if one of their bigs goes for a hard foul in hopes of knocking him out for the game or series. I don't trust Adams as being anywhere near a clean player now. His pick last night would have been just as effective basketball wise without the shoulder lowering. So that move was a malicious move. Rox have to maintain their composure. We have the weapons to win. If they start to double Harden to stop the drive it's time for gordo and Ryan to earn those contracts and knock down a combines 9-12 3's

Slow down OP, one game at a time, don't look past OKC, play hard defense, give a 110%, leave it all on the floor, score more points than the other team...etc.

Lock this up till the Rockets can close this series up. Why get ahead of the games? Take them like the old saying goes "One game at a time".

Probably half of current CF members were not born the last time the Rockets played the Spurs in the playoffs.

    This is a premature thread.

What, resident on-and-off Grizzlies fan, has promised Grizzlies will take care of Spurs, and has personally asked us to tune in for entertainment because those two teams are not about BS, and its an all out war.

So I strongly suggest OP stop disrespecting Chandler Parsons and the Grizzlies.

Ehh, I choose not to "remember" last year as much, since it was, generally speaking, an awful year even though we made the playoffs.

But yeah, 0-3 would be a terrible thing to behold. To the OP's point, the only thing that would erase the bad taste of getting continuously bounced by GSW...would be bouncing GSW from this year's playoffs.

It honestly does not bother me too much when we lose to GSW.

The reason is that they are a more superior team and they should win most of the games against us in a 7 game series.

What good does it to me to lie to myself thinking that we can win a 7 game series against a team that is clearly better?

    Just an exercise in frustration.

I support the Rockets but also have to be realistic.

If we play the way we did last night -- defense, hustle, resilience, will -- we can beat the Spurs. I don't think we can keep it up for 7 games. But if we play that way for 48 minutes, we can beat good teams even when our shots aren't falling. We can win a championship if we play that way. With this roster. This year.

But then why even play, if you're a player? Why even watch, if you're a fan? If most held your realistic views, there'd be no reason to watch the NBA when the Warriors got Durant at the start of the season, since no one would be able to match all that talent.

You're absolutely right in that the Warriors are superior to every team (Spurs' system aside).

The rockets will play golden state tougher than the Spurs (system included)

Rockets are the Warriors biggest threat but it's still not that big of a threat. Golden stat is just that good.

If we beat SA, I would consider the season successful... mainly bc I think this is intended to be a transition/get acclimated year - adding RA, EG, MDA, Lou....
I dont really think we were intended to truly contend this year... if we were we would have a few more vets on the roster and a few less 'projects'.... so beating SA would put us ahead of schedule... imo....

Typical ClutchFans itchy trigger finger thread that counts playoff eggs before theyre hatched. We didn't sweep them, we just maintained HCA for Game 1.

There's wanting to believe and being wise and beat down enough to know when to say it.

You don't know enough Spurs fans. They are far worse than Cowboys fans.
