Yes! Harden is going to break the triple double record. And Westbrook would get a bunch of guys who would look at him and say, "What triple double?"

    No more debate on MVP.

I dont think its as simple as that. You would need to change coaches for me to agree for a roster swap. I think in a right system that was more defensively orientated than the OKC roster can excel. Harden has shown to be able to lead a team to 56 wins with minimal scorers (2 years ago) and mainly from much better defense that year as a team.

Thats been the biggest head scratcher for me. OKC roster was built to play a certain way and style but they haven't tried to play a style to maximize their talent as a whole but rather a style where they want their roster collectively to adapt to whats best for Westbrook. Everyone says that give Westbrook the same shooters -- but thats not how OKC built their team or how Donovan chose to coach. Thats the way the Rockets and MDA wanted their team to be and Harden bought in and went out to help recruit Anderson, Gordon and Lou.

Give me Harden, OKC's Roster and Thibedeau and that team would get 50+ wins.

I like our chemistry that's why I would say no. I do think OKC has a comparable supporting cast.

OKC's roster minus Westbrook = Harden's 2014/15 roster when we won 56 games. I imagine we would have great defense and Harden can manufacture just enough points to win.

    Oladipo
    Adams
    Kanter
    Gibson
    Robertson
    McDermott
    Grant
    Sabonis

    Vs

    Gordon
    Capela
    Ariza
    Anderson
    Beverley
    Lou
    Nene
    Dekker
    Harrell
    Williams

Easily our roster, Oladipo/Adams are individually more valuable then any players we have but as a whole our roster is better and much more even.

At the beginning of the season I would have. Now? Not sure. I still think Harden could create for each of these guys, but the idea of Roberson having a green light at the three pointer kind of hurts my soul.

Makes no sense, it's not about better or worse roster, it's just that rockets personnel fit better with Harden than OKC's would.

Basically it would be like the roster last year. No outside shooting.

Kanter would dominate in dantonis system. Adams is a good post passer
    McDermott would back up deckker
    Dipo > Gordon
    Bev > Roberson
But Roberson would bring that defensive presence off the bench.
    Gibson > Harrell
Sabonis Would fit like a glove.

The difference is, harden will utilize his teammates unlike Russ.

Harden would have multiple pick and roll options (kanter, adams, gibson, sabonis) which dantonis offense is built off of. Dipo is a 38% shooter abrinas can shoot it too along with douggie. Not to mention we'll have the defense on top of it.

I think dantoni can win with that roster...billy? Idk

Who would do that? their roster is terrible. Aside from maybe oladipo, adams, and kanter. and none of those players are better than our top 5

No but i would be down to trade frontcourts. Capela/Nene/Anderson for Adams/Kanter/Gibson.

    No I wouldn't.

But I would trade Keith Jones for their trainer and Sam Dekker for one of their sturdy bigs

You would have to trade away your team and coaching philosophy as well.

Rockets have the 3rd seed because of their attack philosophy and more importantly because they have the players that fit what they are trying to do.

With the OKC's supporting cast and the current philosophy, we would not be 3rd seed.

And if you change our philosophy, I am confident we still would not be 3rd seed.

No, because this team was build around Harden's strong points. OKC's team is not geared around Westbrook as they are still trying to figure out what works best around him.

Role and bench players only work around star players that match their skill set.

Of course if this original question was not serious then the true answer is.... pizza!

OKC's players are worth more as assets for trade with the rest of the league. We are valuing the Rocks based on what Harden has done for them, making them seem better than their worth. As much as I hate to admit, this might be the best our roster can ever achieve. Nearly all of our players overachieved. I hope the Rocks go far in this playoffs, but if we lose the first round, I wouldn't be as surprised as I should be seeing a 6th seed upset a 3rd seed.

Not a chance our roster is pretty deep... Adams is okay but tbh I really don't see why people think he is the 3rd best player in this series. I mean I'm not even sure he's better than Capela. Clint puts up better numbers in 5 less minutes a game and does it as the last option on the floor.

Trade? No, but if we had their non-Harden players and Harden and played them in a series, I'd pick Harden and whoever he's got.

That's the point of your question. Harden is better because he'd make either roster better in a 7 game series.
