Lob bombs, put an Oil Exec as SOS..........boom. Prices go up up up! Gotta make that money for Exxon Mobil!. The week Obama left office, I paid around $1.91 for Gas. It is $2.25 at the same station today. I bet it is $2.50 by Summer. I want the to TRY to blame Obama for that.
It is Obama's fault in a way. If he were not black, there would not have been so much backlash with certain people in this country. That coupled with the fact at how awful of a candidate Hillary Clinton was are the two main reasons you have in my honest opinion the complete disaster Donald Trump in the White House. So gas prices are just the beginning. There are many paths this country and the world could take in the next 10-20 years. Donald Trump could help influence that path and a few of them could be true utopia.

We know it will rebound but I don't see how it's been kept artificially low. The US has doubled their Output, Canada going strong and until recently OPEC was pumping at a sustained rate to try and price out American producers while demand is low....seems market driven to me. OPEC finally blinked and is cutting production so you can say that prices will go up and be artificially high. Maybe I'm misunderstanding "artificially" in your context, I have a basic understanding of oil futures but I can't say that i understand it all, just what I read.
Oil per barrel has been rising for well over a year. I've made a TON of money from it. It's going to continue to rise, because the world wants at a minimum $55/barrel by eoy
You are actually seeing the price rise (like it does every year regardless of who is in office) as refiners switch to their summer blends. It is an EPA mandated blend switch and it is more expensive. It happens every April to comply to the May 1 deadline. It has nothing to do with who is in office.

Gas prices also kissed $5 under George Bush. This was pointed out in the Obama Gas Price Spike Thread, which included posters who were complaining and blaming the POTUS for gas prices, who are now calling the complainers hypocritical.
