ClutchFans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 4/16/2017 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 1)

I think Lou Williams was born with a shot in his hand.

 

Keys to the game:
- Bobby Brown instead of Lou and Gordon
- feed Ryno who's hot
- play defense

 

Ain't gonna lie. I know we have the better team and we got The Beard, but still nervous about what Russ might do.

 

He will chuck, he just got hot at the best possible time for Mvp.

 

Yeah, don't even care if he gets monster stats, as long as we win the series. I don't think their record is even that flash when he gets trip dubs.

 

I f***ing hate the first round. It takes so long, and we have to wait so long for the games. They should at least go back to the 5 game series.

 

Let's beat them by triple digits.

 

Westbrook is good enough to win the Thunder a game or two, but the Rockets do have a better overall team. If they play defense, don't get destroyed on the boards, and make at least 30% of their 3-point attempts, I don't see how they lose this series.

 

Can't wait!

I am so excited to watch Harden and Rockets blow WB and OKC off the floor. Media's heads will spin so fast that they would probably be in a coma.

Can we get an "overrated" chant going on every time Russ shoots free throws/has the ball in his hands?

 

Or a "stat padder" chant would work too. Or "selfish"

 

All I know is we better see some Harden in the post.

I had a nice smile on my face for that one play today* that got Harden the ball down low and resulted in nice movement off the ball resulting in a wide open 3 at the top of the key.

When both are not playing well, i.e. not hitting their threes, I think Bobby has proven he can hit the shot. He has deep range too and is fearless.

 

It does give Harden some more time to rest that wrist. He claims it's no longer bothering him, but it can't hurt to let it heal a bit more.

My only real gripe with the schedule is that fast turnaround for Game 4 on Sunday. If the Rockets are up 3-0, it works out great for them. But if they find themselves down 2-1, that could be a scary situation.

Glad I recorded that MN game. Gives me something to watch while I wait.
