    In my lifelong search for bands that combine power and humor, J. Geils Band was one of the best. Love Stinks, Rage in the Cage, Houseparty, Insane Insane Again.... J Geils was the s.h.i.t.

    Lately, my 3 year old has been stuck on Freeze Frame of all the random songs in the world. he loves the music video.

    Another sad day for rock and roll. J. Geils and his band got together in 1967, believe it or not. They were mainly a blues rock band during the 1970's, becoming something a little different later. I always loved their concerts, headlining or not. Here's a sample from 1972. They're playing at Holy Cross:

    Oh wow. Centerfold was one of the bigger hits of the 80's... I used to play the crap outta that song. :(

    LOL every time I hear this song now I think of a girl from my high school - She was 2yrs older than me and she was the hottest girl in school - Then she showed up on some late night Cinemax shows in the early 2000's.
