Does Calvin Watking have a vote? Eh, who cares? He'd probably waste it on Dirk.

Can Rachel Nichols just stop with her MVP reform campaign? Everybody wants to make all of these lame changes all of the sudden...

At this point, my biggest fear is the media stoops so low as to deny Harden 1st team all-nba.

I can see a scenario where they put Curry and Westbrook as the first team guards...

No, I think you can feel safe Harden will get 1st team this year.

They just need to announce the winner after the first round so we dont have to talk about this for months

Updated list to include Harden as 2nd place on Broussard and Bontemps votes. Probably should keep track of that too.

If they consider Harden 2nd in MVP ranking, no way Harden is denied 1st team unless they ride Curry alot.

I want it all, or nothing to be honest. If Harden doesn't win, I hope he's third or lower. I hope they vote Harden 2nd team All-NBA. oh boy, the fire that (should) be ignited. IMAGINE IT! Dante's Inferno level ignition 2017-2018!

    However, I remain optimistic.

here's Steve Kyler's reasoning for going with Westbrook

"I landed with Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook in the first place slot. This was not an easy vote. There has been a lot written about Westbrook and his record-setting triple-double season. His efficiency is down. His team’s offensive efficiency is down. His usage rate is up over 42.6 percent. It was not easy to pick Westbrook over Houston’s James Harden. That said, the records he has broken stood the test of some of the greatest to have ever played the game. How can that be ignored? I couldn’t do it.

The rest of my votes went to Harden, Cleveland’s LeBron James, San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard and lastly Boston’s Isaiah Thomas, respectively.

In my mind, Harden was as equally deserving as Westbrook. This was a 1A – 1B situation, not some huge gap between the two."

I think Harden will have to have more 2nd place votes and hope Kashi take some first place voted from Westbrook.

Westbrook will probably get the majority of 1st place votes with Harden having to fight with Kawhi and Lebron (lol) for the rest

Harden will probably get the majority of 2nd place votes

the only way I could see Harden winning is if Westbrook finished 1st in like 60% of the ballots but in 3rd or 4th in the other 40%, and even then I'm not sure if he'd be able to win

Screw MVP, I just want this team to play well come playoffs, cuz lately I have a hard time telling myself that we make it past the 2nd round with how ugly our shooting numbers & efficiency have been. As a team we need to shoot the ball much better if we have any chance after the 1st round, including Harden who has been in a shooting slump for a while now.

They need to change the mvp award then. If you average a triple double you automatically win. If no one does, the closest to it wins. Be great for basketball and the nba product!!
