It doesnt mean he will lose in 1st round.

Its just prima donna to ask your teammates and coach to do this. Im not saying russ necessarily is a prima donna but he has a different personality and game than beard. Dont go out of character.

Itll look even worse if he guns like crazy and still doesnt get the 50+ point trip dub or we lose. It can look really really bad if it doesnt work out.

Be true to yourself and let it be

I get tired of the Lebron Argument. He sits out games constantly and his team is BEHIND Harden's...in the east. Lebron has no case. The only player that has a case outside of Harden and Westbrook is Kawhi.

Around the Horn has 4 panelists. Cowlishaw and Blackistone still think Harden is MVP. Woody thinks Westbrook is MVP after riding with Harden all season. Ramona(!) is leaning Westbrook after thinking Harden was the MVP.

Any chance some voters have already sent their ballots in, prior to this past weekend?

Ah thanks for clearing that up.

I'm guessing the people that leaned towards Westbrook gave off that annoying "I can't believe you're not voting WB, he's averaging a triple double" look to the panelists that gave Harden the vote.

Completely agree, I'm a huge Lebron fan & he's the last guy I want to see in the playoffs regardless of their recent downward spiral, but the "he's averaging career highs" argument holds absolutely no basis. Lol so is everyone else...

Micheal Smith, on ESPN's The Six, may not think Harden will win the MVP, but he is letting the Rocket's (understandable) gripes known on national TV.

It's as if he took the arguments straight from Clutchfans.net. It's appreciated if not bittersweet.

I get that it can look bad, but James Harden is talented enough to put up a massive stat line with 40-50 shots.

History doesn't remember that David Robinson's teammates were feeding him the ball all game for his 70 point game at the end of the season to beat Shaq as the scoring champ. History won't remember that Kobe took 50 shots(or was it more?) his final game. History won't remember that Devin Booker scored 70 on mostly garbage time points. History and fans will just remember the big numbers. If Harden can go off for 60 or more in back to back games, it's enough to get the media excited and run non-stop coverage of it and it will not only help Harden tremendously in achieving something for his own legacy, but all the coverage will hype up the city and team come playoff time for the showdown with Russ.

Nope. it was a more incredulous discussion. It's as if they couldn't believe they were changing their own minds from Harden to Westbrook.

Lmfao I remember that. I still don't understand how you accidentally leave someone off your ballot..... you have to replace them with someone else....

It's not like he turned in that ballot with:

    1.
    2.
    3.
    4.

    Oops i forgot 5.

    What a herb.

Yeh but at this point **** history.

It doesnt remember a lot of great ****. Its already forgotten james 53 16 17 game which is still the best trip dub of all time lol.

They want to give it to westbrook so they will. It is what it is

I was hoping there would be a video up; don't want to summarize. I thought it was a good common gripe around Clutchfans.

Smith was basically saying how Harden, Morey and Rockets fans feel disrespected because, all of sudden, the rules have changed. He talks about Harden, despite having historic numbers last season, was left off all the ALL-NBA teams. He talked about 2015 too. I know I'm doing an awful job summarizing, but that was the gist

Results in round 1 playoffs between Rockets and Thunder will be a good help for either candidates if both will play well.

I'm sure the defense of Pat will not disappoint.

    Break a leg BEverley!

Smith and Jemele are the best talking heads ESPN has by far. It was good of them to put them in that primetime slot.

They vote before the playoffs begin. The winner will be announced at an awards show after the Finals is over.
