Harden needs to rest tomorrow. He doesn't need to play just to rack up stats. Harden and Beverley both need to limit the minutes from now on. Why are we risking either getting injured in a meaningless game? We had a 20 pt lead early in the game and he came back in. The only thing that worries me in playoffs is that he tries to take too many 3's in a competition of pts against Westbrook. He's taken 32 shots from behind the arc in the last two games and is one of our worst 3pt shooters. I really don't want to see him doing that in the playoffs.
Sure, he made 5 from behind the arc tonight, but took almost as many shots as Anderson and Brown combined, and made half as many as they did. [/QUOTE]
And the clips are dirty enough to rough house increasing the risk. Time for Nanu, T. Williams, Brown, Taylor and Wiltjer to log 48 minutes.
Actually tomorrow should be a game where we need to start picking up the intensity against a quality playoffs CALIBARE team on the big stage. Should be a prelude to the playoffs and a good test for the team. Everyone needs to play. The Clippers are going are fighting for the 4th spot with the Jazz so they will bring it and bring it hard.
Ryan Anderson was sort of on a rest plan (injury aided). Look how he did when he came back 9 for 15 in 3 point shooting.
If Lou keeps playing like this and Ego is not shooting well, I seriously think giving Bobby Brown a shot. The guy can at least hit shots.
Of course I am, but he doesn't average anywhere near that, and my concern is he will keep throwing the majority of the 3's in playoffs. He isn't consistent with that percentage, and it could be 3 points that makes the difference in the playoffs. It's just not to our advantage if he takes the majority of shots from behind the arc. You have to remember the last seven games prior to this one he was averaging .272, where Ariza was averaging .372. Anderson has averaged the highest of everyone all year, and should be taking the majority of those shots, followed by Beverley, Gordon, and Ariza. Troy has the best average, but hasn't taken enough shots for me to really make a fair judgement.
