That kind of action has been authorized without congressional permission time and time again for decades. You probably know that even if you are pretending to not know it now to push a narrative. The former president wanted to be able to blame things on Republicans if they went bad and when he couldn't, he b****ed out like always and that's why we had a second chemical attack by Assad. Now that said, if we plan on ramping up activities in Syria further, then it would be good to involve congress, but it wasn't necessary for this type of strike.

Like I said, he didn't want to do anything without being able to blame it on others if it went wrong. He didn't want to make it just his call especially after Putin told him to go get his shine box and that he was protecting Assad. Your boy Obama was slapped around by Putin time and time again when he was in office and yet the guy that many consider a Putin puppet just did a better job of standing up to him in the first 100 days than Obama did in 8 years. It's remarkable how much more upset you are about an airbase getting hit by missiles than you were about Assad using chemical weapons on children.

Not entirely sure what to do with Assad. If he really did gas these folks, he deserves death...BUT I am certain, that there are many on this board that shares my sentiments...I am sick of being in the middle freaking east and I want no part of another middle east conflict. Hopefully tonight's strikes were a deterrent against any future nations acting a fool (ie. Lil Kim).
Highly doubt its Assad. Even Kerry stated that Assad surrendered his stockpile. Looks more like Israel baiting us doing thier dirty work for them.
We have to be willing to sacrifice American lives in order to make the world a better place. Unfortunately, I am too old for military service. But I am willing to let my tax dollars pay the death benefits of some American soldiers for this thing in Syria. We definitely know the situation perfectly and have a solution. Coz we are experts on Syria and its history and culture. I encourage those of you of fighting age to take my tax dollars to buy your motor boat or whatever after you kill/die for the Syria thing. Oh yeah: and BAN SYRIAN REFUGEES!
