It's almost like we should do something to help like taking in refugees who are suffering as a result of all this horrible warfare and chemical weapon attacks.
"I'm done trying to win people's hearts," "Let's attack people's hearts", "We can work with fear." "Yes we can."
Seriously though, I'm really surprised that Trump would stand up to Russia and do the right thing despite possible political blowback.
I don't even know that it was the right decision. I do give him props for striking at a Russian ally. It may have been the right decision.
I imagine it was a hard decision to make but it's something you have to do. You can't allow people to get away with using chemical weapons like that. They got away with it the last time they did it and it only emboldened them to do it again.
Who can say what's "right" in this case? I'm half sure that he did this just because he's trying to take an opposite foreign policy stance to Obama. Incidentally, am I the only one who sometimes wonders whether Civil War 2 might be necessary to prevent World War 3? The biggest issue I have with all of this is the lack of congressional approval. I'm not comfortable with war resting in the hands of one person. Any one person.
I don't think Civil War 2 could really happen, and if it did happen, it would be over in a hurry. The nation isn't really evenly split.
