I'm not a Peacock fan, but my memory is that he was our best pitcher for a 6 week stretch after Keuchel went down last year. Not a huge statistical sample, but he looked very good then. Wouldn't be shocked if he ends up like Straily and has a really nice year for some other team and then cashes in. He almost certainly will be released when McHugh comes back, unless they decide to see if they can give him some more innings to showcase him for trade value (in which case I assume Gustave or Feliz will be sent down).

There are only 6 guys hitting above it. Just as bad, only 3 regulars with a OBP above .290. OPS wise, 6 guys >.800, everyone else <.600.

It's three games. There's no reason to be worried or even pay attention to avg./OPB/OPS until at least 2-3 weeks into the season. Especially considering some players are consistently slow starters every season.

I just never saw a reason for getting mad at a teams ball park dimensions AFTER the game.

Oh well could care less what those guys think! Moving on to game 4! If Musgrove comes out firing tonight, this is going to be legit scary

I don't remember any such stretch in his career.

I mentioned this in a previous post, and don't wish to get annoying about it, but I really hope even though last nights game was ended with dramatics, that people don't forget about Charlie's stellar game.

Morton was fun to watch last night.

How did we do against Seattle last season? It seems like we are always finding ways to beat them. Or, is that Oakland I'm thinking of? Or, LA? lol

I wouldn't blame Seattle fans if they hated playing the Astros like we hate playing the Rangers after the last 3 games and probably dating back further. I just hope we don't get caught up in losing to the Rangers again this season because that series win-loss record was what sunk us last season.

It's funny because anytime a fan calls another team "Lucky" it's usually out of jealousy. However, just as that statline showed last night, and the run differrencials etc, their luck has to run out sometime. Not to mention we have a more well rounded offense. Then it comes down to our pitching staff. Stay healthy, stay somewhat consistent, and you have to have that stopper in the rotation, just in case they do start on a tiny streak against us. Last year we just didn't have one.

Hopefully LMJ/Dallas/ one other can be the ultimate "Stoppers" if we hit some rough patches, especially in case it's against Texas.

Yes, I know its been three games. You and many others read into stats quotes from me as if I am trying to say whats transpired so far dictates how the rest of the season will go. I dont mean that. I haven't meant it before. That said, I still find it interesting to see whats happened so far.

It is strange that there is no standard regulation sized field for teams competing in the same sport. But that means complaints about non-standard park dimensions can be made against any major league team.

If by six weeks he meant three games, then he would be correct. :)

Hinch is really trying to hand out the playing time about the best he can. Disappointed that Gattis isn't the DH tonight. He should not be sitting against LHP. Only reasoning I can think of is because he caught yesterday through extra innings.
