I do get a chuckle at hearing other teams announced get extremely frustrated at our short porch..... after a certain play is made.

They'll go on for minutes talking about how center field is a nightmare for hitters, but that short porch only gets brought up in these type of situations. You've had 3 games to utilize it, we just beat y'all to the punch.

Gutsy outing by our bullpen, and let's not forgot Mortob's solid game and not have it get lost in the chaos that was the extra inning game.

The offense is definitely going to show up, so I could not be happier to see the pitching being the aspect of our team that's gotten out to the hot start.

Go Astros! Let's get us a sweep tonight!

Reddick choking Springer in the celebration is priceless.

Reminded me of the scene in "Rock in Roll high school" where the fans were waiting in line to get Ramones tickets and they pull up in the car playing "I just want to have something to do tonight" and the fans are dancing and that one punk chick started choking her friend:D

I like how McCann was there to meet Gattis at homeplate to celebrate. A true budding bald bromance.

Man... we are 3-0 with Altuve getting off to a slower start.

Our pitching has been beyond fantastic, and it's been amazing to see. Can Musgrove keep it going??

Considering he pitched 4 innings of shut out ball, it is safe to assume it wasn't Miller as it has been 6 years since he has last done that and not sure he's ever done it in that high leverage of a situation.

I may have jinxed us for tonight as I texted a good friend who happens to be a huge Mariners fan a pic of a broom. So, I apologize in advance if this becomes the case.

That said, great start, even with Altuve not quite right yet. Bregman looks a little like he didn't get enough ab's this spring, too.

Hoping for Musgrove to solidify his spot tonight with an outing similar to the 3 guys in front of him. I believe that the front office and coaches have more faith in him long term than Fiers and that when McHugh is ready, Fires will go to the pen with Peacock being waived.

I don't believe in jinxes, so win or lose you're ok in my book! Man if Musgrove can follow suit from Dallas, LMJ, and Morton... this is going to be one fun series ender!

I like Peacock more than Fiers.

About the same pitchers only Peacock is a lot cheaper than Fiers.

I have no confidence in Fiers.

Our 2, 3, and 5 hitters are hitting below the Mendoza line and we're 3-0. Thank god for pitching. Once the bats come around, we'll start having some #boring blow outs. Hopefully it starts tonight!

Peacock hasn't been close to Fiers. You may like Peacock more, but there's no evidence that you should.

Fiers has proven himself to be a competent, if unspectacular, MLB starting pitcher. (3.87 ERA, 3.94 FIP).

Peacock on the other hand has done nothing of the sort. Even last year, his ERA looked good, but his .190 BABIP, and 5.17 FIP suggest he just got lucky. I have yet to see one sign that Brad Peacock is an MLB pitcher and the only reason he is on the roster is because he is out of options.

That was a crazy game. I'm a little extra tired this morning, but I love it. Extra inning win? Keep it up Astros.

Agree with most of this, but Peacock being on Astros roster provides evidence that he is an MLB pitcher. He just isn't a very good one and shouldn't be counted on to do much except be better than most guys in the minors that teams aren't developing as prospects.

Peacock's career xFIP is 4.66 and SIERA is 4.44. Peacock has the better velocity, but something is lacking. I hope he has figured it out moving forward, but I wouldn't mind if he was DFAd.

CTH posted a statcast last night that had Springer's HR going 367 feet, whereas Segura's only went 355. Where is the outrage from the Seattle announcers for Segura?
