When you hear interviews from the players about the impact McCann has had on the team so far, every one of them says he brings tons of knowledge and a lot of experience to the table. You can tell they respect him and Beltran both. In fact, I think it was McCullers the other day that said even though Beltran is going to be 40, and that would usually mean a prank of some sort (Feldman got a walker sent to his locker I think), they are not going to do anything because of how much they respect him.
Yeah, if Biggio, Bagwell, Clemens, Pettitte and all the others were more serious, the Astros would have won a ton of World Series. Stupid Hinch And that evil ESPN has a big article entitled: How to enjoy the Astros, the most-fun-to-watch team in baseball http://www.espn.com/blog/sweetspot/...astros-the-most-fun-to-watch-team-in-baseball
Lol why is this even a discussion. So what if a guy didn't want water thrown in his face, especially a catcher who has to go back out and catch LMJ, a 96 MPH Fastball and one of the filthiest curveballs in the game. I think they're still friends.... we'll have to wait and see on this apparent new soap opera we have.
FWIW, I took some pictures at the game and wanted to share from opening day. I wanted to getting different times of the day to get different lighting, and I thought you guys may enjoy it.: Spoiler: Flag cerimony Spoiler: Altuve At Bat Spoiler: Keuchel Pitching Spoiler: Bregman Batting Spoiler: Springer Batting
Could not agree more! I'll add Oswalt and Lidge in there too! Jeez... bunch of party animals! Club Astros needs to be more like Club NFL and get rid of all these water throwing, jumping high-fiving, outfield-bowing celebrations. Sports are not meant to be fun, people!!!
So teams can't have fun while they're winning? Over a 162 game season stoicism can only take you so far. It's good to see a group of guys that seem to genuinely enjoy each other and playing the game.
Eh... I like subbing Marisnick in the 7-8th for defense, tonight will be the first night I think "automatic out" in the line up. And because I said that he's gonna go off like 3-4 with a HR and a double..
Hinch said he wanted to get each of the three bench guys a start in the first three games. I wouldn't expect Jake to get a ton of starts going forward.
So having rituals - water in face for HRs, weird hand shakes, jump in the air body bumps in the outfield -is pre-schoolish? How about those cream pies to the face or gatorade dumps during interviews? Are those OK?
Yep, I'm intense because I am a person of results and excuses are for losers!!! wooooWoooo!!!! shout out to my man the natural boy!!!!
