His jumpshot is straight out of 1982 - beautiful. I see the potential for defense in his frame (just as i do for Capela) but not sure he's there yet (like Capela). Good young prospect and yeah - what KJ was supposed to be.
The Grizzlies had him guarding LeBron and Draymond when he was there. They beat the Warriors that game and Draymond was held to 7 points and 1 assist. Draymond is their team leader in assists on the season.
He still has to make his shots. I think wo he is playing against is not as relevant as him hiting his shots.
I was going to say something about this. His open stance when he jumps reminds me of Drexler. I'm not a big fan of jumping from such an open stance....seems hard to reproduce, especially when you have to adjust your position...vs just catch and fire.
I really think Troy can be the next Ariza. For the time being, if he can even be half the defensive prowl Ariza is, we then got 3 prime time defenders on the team. Bev, Ariza, Troy. EG isn't too bad either. Let's see how tonight goes!
He is FA next year ugh. We should have gave him the contract we gave Taylor. Sucks. If he does good we are going to have to dip into the mle
He doesn't have the size to be as versatile as Ariza. Even if he pans out, you're not going to run him out there at PF... well, MDA might occasionally but not for long.
He needs to calm down. I saw some good things though.. This dude was bouncing off the wall. These crazy hustle players thrive playing with Harden; can't have too many of them.
But he is not as good how Chandler Parsons played in his rookie year. Troy Williams will never be in Chandler Parsons beast level.
Don't forget he got more hops than sturdy Dekker too. You could see that in that giant slam to end the 3rd Q he wasn't D League Dunk contest champion for no reason
