Westbrook got 13 rebounds and 13 assists in just 27 minutes tonight...nobody can match that

if you don't guard the 3 leave your man open and your PFs and Centers leave those rebounds most of the time knowing that your are going after them....there is a big possibility

This award show blows. Harden and company have to speculate til the end of the season to know if he has won or not!

The fans have to suffer to?

It's like a monkey on the back of the players that can realistically win. I hope it doesn't effect harden, the suspence I mean. Lol

He didn't create drama when Dwight left unlike Westbrook.

Question Which Oscar Roberson is more deserving of MVP?

    30.8/12.5/11.4 - Team: 43-37
    31.4/9.9/11.0 - Team: 55-25

Harden is like the 1964 Robertson, Westbrook is like the 1962 Robertson

I get that there are methods to do more stats stuffing, and your teammates are helping now but Robertson's era got more possessions to achieve that feat.

What is your point here? My point is when you compare Robertson's personal stats in those 2 years, I don't think triple double makes his 1962 performance more impressive. On the other hand, his team record in 1964 is much more impressive. If I had 1 MVP vote I'd give it to his 1964 campaign 10 times out of 10.

Our 110 average performed better than their 80 most of the time.

The ranking has been off. Gordon was a Top 30 once when he was a Clipper.

And Anderson was a solid 49 when he was in Orlando.

While these rankings monitor stats, they do not monitor injuries and the reasons someone played not up to standard.

Couple of Rockets players played close to their best in their careers.

I am guessing both teams got help but the MDA system got more out of those players.

Because they hold on court season tickets to watch Westbrook one man show.

Maybe if OKC made winning a priority instead of stat padding for their alpha, the supporting cast would be performing better.

James has made his teammates better. Russell has gone into "Viktor no! Get teh rebund" mode.

I dislike the narrative that one player alone got everyone better.

The mastermind was MDA all along.

Yes, I questioned his entire career outside of Phoenix but he was the true mastermind that got Harden going and the whole crew.

Give credit where credit is due first and foremost.

Of course the player gets the laurels and he should. He finally bought into a system that suits his style.
(Still not the Phoenix version but very close to it, the dribbling down the clock thing still annoys.)

But you cannot call Fire Milkhair and call for the coach's head when things go bad and speak so little about the good that MDA has done when things go well.

Actually Russ is even worse, he wouldn't even have wanted Dwert to get teh rebund.

No matter who wins MVP, the season will always be remembered as the Westbrook season. His place in history is marked. Now when he also wins MVP, Harden's historically amazing season will be completely forgotten. He's led one of the best offenses in league history and nobody cares..... because triple double. We really need to sweep them out of the playoffs for any kind of vindication.

Fine with me. The Rockets seem headed for a first round matchup with the Thunder(although Memphis still has an outside shot at the 6th seed). So kick their asses in the first round and then if Harden loses the MVP in late June at that awards show, the voters can twist themselves like a pretzel trying to justify their choice.

You need to change it too player ranking though because the morons i the media will think that a higher rating means better player.

Not only MDA system but Harden himself.

Look at his last Players MVP season and look who was on his team then too. Harden never gets credit for making his teammates better like Lebron or Curry do. It's almost like it just isn't there for some people.

If Westbrook really does take the MVP, let's not forgot about the time when one of our MVP candidates got robbed of their award.

It's that viral defense video, my man. Shattered Harden's reputation for likely the rest of his career, and mainstream media will always be reluctant to REALLY appreciate his game.
