It's a national humiliation. Trump and his minions are busy sucking up to dictators and attempting to ignore an attack on our democratic system by Putin's Russia, while ignoring crimes against humanity by a regime literally propped up by Russia. Yes, Syria is Obama's low point in foreign affairs. He declared a "red line" on the use of chemical weapons that must not be crossed by Assad, Assad crossed it, and the President did nothing. I attacked his decision back when it happened, and I'm not shy about attacking it now, but it has nothing, nothing to do with the actions of the Trump regime. My country has lost its way.

President Obama should've never said those words if he didn't intend to back them up, especially when he knew the American people wouldn't have supported a full-fledged invasion of Syrian territory. His waffling on Syria is the biggest black mark on his foreign policy legacy. Syria's a giant cluster that confounds the most seasoned foreign policy experts around the world. There isn't a "solution" to this problem anymore. I don't even know what option would be the least catastrophic anymore.
