Osweiler acting entitled??? Where is this coming from - are you on crystal meth or something? I can accept the fact that you have bought into the Jerry Jones PR machine and convinced yourself about Tony Romo and all that but this? Osweiler is the furthest thing from entitled there is. You have to be good in order to be entitled and that ain't Osweiler.
If you think "you have to be good" to be entitled, you obviously don't know what the word means. In terms of Romo, I have no idea what you're talking about and don't appreciate the insinuation that I'm a dolt who mindlessly regurgitates crap I'm fed.
I think both of those guys should have always been seen as fairly long term projects anyway so I'm not sure this changes anything. Neither player was ever likely to play at any point next season.
when a coach says that about you, like he did of keizer, it means what he actually means or he is just bitter he left. That's my drexler analysis. HC attempted to make clowney look like someone with the work ethic of bonzi wells.
Kizer will still be looked at as a first rounder and Kelly was a 4th-UDFA but now he might not even get a look now
Jerry Jones to allow teams to contact Tony Romo In his continuing effort to trade Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sent a message to every NFL general manager giving them permission to talk to his quarterback or his agent about a contract that would lead to a possible trade. Teams interested in trading for Romo can visit with him, but they're supposed to talk about a trade and not the possibility of signing him if he becomes a free agent. The story, first reported by NFL.com, is an obvious step for Jones to take if he thinks he can trade Romo. So far, there have been no takers. The Texans are interested in Romo, who turns 37 this month, if he's released. They have yet to show any interest in giving up a draft choice – even a conditional pick – for a quarterback who has started only four games the last two years because of clavicle and back injuries that required surgery. Before a team trades for Romo, it would negotiate a new, club-friendly contract that would provide protection in case he suffers a major injury for a third consecutive season. The Cowboys would have to then re-do Romo's contract before he could be traded. Any team interested in trading for Romo would demand a lower signing bonus and base salary with a chance for him to make millions in per-game roster bonuses if he stays healthy. http://www.chron.com/sports/texans/...allow-teams-to-contact-Tony-Romo-11046989.php
It's just so Texans for it to go down this way. Not that I wished we still had Brock on our roster... but wow... you just have to laugh.
This is actually perfect. Disaster would have been if they traded for him THEN he decides to retire. Now they can use that cap space to lock up Hopkins and maybe Clowney.
Chris Burke: Bill O'Brien is a fascinating piece in all of this. He keeps getting the Texans into the playoffs without a true No. 1 QB, but he was supposed to be able to elevate any QB into being a legit No. 1, and yet Houston's chasing at that position for another offseason. Mike Tanier: ...and there always seems to be a QB drama brewing in Houston. McClain; Texans like Tom Savage but worry about him staying healthy. They may have to trade up to get a QB Bill O'Brien likes. @JoeBanner13(former Eagles exec.): How long will he like him for? Joe Banner: Since O'Brien got to Houston it's QB situation has been as big a mess as any in the league. Spoiler
doubt that would have happened. no way they would have traded for him without some sort of commitment to playing or knowing his health status.
