The Warriors have one of the best Big 4 in modern times in Curry, Durant, Green, and Thompson. All four players are playing in their prime!

You have two sure HoFers in Curry and Durant. Enough said.

You have one of the greatest glue-type players in Green giving you defensive intensity, passing, rebounding, blocking and can also score when needed all the way out to the 3 pt line.

You have Thompson who is a very good defender and one of the best shooters in the game. He has also vastly improved his driving game as well.

If you had to leave one out and replace him with a scrub, who would it be?

BTW, I think that a team with 3 out of the 4 players would still easily make the playoffs and have a decent chance at the championship although obviously not as good as having all four!

Yep, it has to be this. Steph and Draymond are automatically staying, then it comes down to KD or Klay, and that's not a difficult decision.

I think it would be Klay. You will miss his shooting, but you can plug in AI and still be just as good and are still championship contenders. Steph and Draymond will stay for sure, and KD is a top 5 player in this league (You just don't give those away).

Consensus so far seems to be that of all the players you would definitely keep, its Durant. To an extent, I can understand that.

But beyond that, its not also obvious that you have to keep Curry and Green as well. Yes if you consider that you have to keep Curry and Green, then Durant vs Thompson is no brainer and you drop Thompson. But there is no reason to think you have to keep Curry and Green.

Assuming you start with keeping Durant, then it comes down to picking the following 2 of 3.
    1. Curry, Green, (drop Thompson)
    2. Curry, Thompson, (drop Green)
    3. Green, Thompson, (drop Curry)

If you think about it this way, then its not as obvious that you drop Thompson.

This also leads me to a related plan regarding rest. If the Warriors somehow manage to keep all four, why not only play all four on occasion but rest 1 of 4 on a rotating basis? I think you could still make playoffs and even win top 1-2 seed with that kind of arrangement while maximizing rest!

Still seems pretty obvious regardless of how you put it. Curry is the engine that makes it go, and Draymond is the glue that keeps it together. Klay, as good as he is, is the most 'easily' replaceable.

Those who voted to drop curry are definitely trolling, Steph has crazy gravity on the court. It's true what tochiee22 said, Curry, Green and Thompson have proved that they are elite with or without Durant, so you could make an argument to drop him.

But, in my opinion, the clear answer is Klay.

Klay and it's not even close. Most overrated star in the league. Glorified Jj Reddick. And I would argue that Jj reddick would be better in gsw than Klay is.

Draymond is the heart and soul of the Warriors. He can't be sold If they want to win.

    Steph Curry
    Klay Thompson
    Kevin Durant

    Which one doesn't belong? :)

Klay pretty easily. He is a great shooter but not much more than that. His defense is probably the most overrated int he league, he plays fine defense but people act like he is on Kawai's level or something.

I have so many questions as to the logic behind this post.....

    1) Why would OKC give a **** about this at all??
    2) Draymond brings something that NONE of the other Warriors bring......grit, and hard-nosed defense
    3) Draymond does all of the things that nobody else on that team wants to do (like kicking people in the nuts)
    4) Klay easily has the most replaceable skill-set of the bunch.

But mainly, the biggest question I have is.....

    WHAT???????

Ok, but Klay is NOTHING like Harden. I mean, like, not even in the same stratosphere. Your comparison still makes absolutely no sense.

They've won with Steph/Klay/Green. Why keep Durant who hasn't proven yet that they can all mesh? Clearly Klay/Green are the least talented of the 4, but Klay isn't needed as much as Green is.

They lost when they had the 3 to 1 leading, that is why they got Durant. Klay is good, but he is not better than Durant.
