One of the few intentional 'laugh out loud' moments I can remember. This episode had a few bright spots: 1) Re-establishing Negan as a legit threat and violent psychopath (he had spent a lot of time being "nice" recently). 2) The Eugene dynamic is really twisted now, and for the better. Lots of complications with that character. 3) A well-established character died and in a pretty believable way that added to the episode. 4) Ezekiel LARPing and Shiva eating people. 5) "You suck ASS, Rick!" and other Negan/Rick interplay.
Red was a likable tough dude that I would have loved more if they expanded his character more. But they didn't and then pretend like we will magically start caring about his flashbacks with Sasha. Seriously, that romance was a like 10 second blip side story that no one cared about. And Red was silly for dumping the hottest piece of ass in the community(Rosita).
Someone should 'chop Rick into this photo. This is from the Irving Welsh (Trainspotting) movie Filth, or the BBC made-for-TV adaptation.
The show is turning into Lost. It was not about the island anymore. There was one zombie in the entire hour long episode. It's all about characters now. Oh wells
You know what this show never does? Throw something from left field that changes the entire dynamic. Right now, for the past 10 episodes we all knew what the show was going to culminate towards. We all knew it would eventually lead to a stand off between Rick's group and Negan. the only thing in question is who is going to die in the process. This show has no thriller type suspense. The would turn for the better if they throw something from left field such as an official military force with information about the outside world suddenly appear. This show is just too static. At this point, I'm just uber curious about what the hell is going on with any official government entity and if they are close to finding a solution. They haven't touched on that part of the show since like the first season at the CDC.
I have not watched a single episode of this second half. All 8 are on the DVR... but I am in no way jazzed to watch it or anything. Will get around to it eventually... but the writers have really ruined this show, imo. B-O-R-I-N-G first half of the season. From what I hear, more of the same in the second half.
haha...now we just need @Rodman23 to find the animated gif version of this scene, with a couple different Rick expressions.
I don't know what you guy were expecting. Negan was never going to be a 1 season thing. This whole season was a setup to the "All - Out War" Arc in the comics. It is Alexandria, The Hilltop, and Kingdom vs. the Saviors.
The Walking Dead was NEVER about the Zombies. You have missed the point ENTIRELY if you thought that. It is about how Humanity reacts to the end of the world as they know it and how the BEST and the WORST appears after society falls.
Yeah, I agree w/ you. I really liked the show early on vs now but definitely understand the development period, it just seems to drag a lot more.. I'm hoping with the events that should be coming in season 8/9 it'll spice things up for sure.
Here's my problem with this show: Spoiler Where are the god damn zombies? Spoiler This show has now become the slow-talking dead. Everyone talks and talks, and talks some more, until a freaking tiger leaps onscreen and mauls the one person not doing the talking. What? Spoiler Still no zombies. Spoiler Then Negan, the dude who is suppose to have Rick's plan all figured out, fails to bring extra backup, or put spies on the Hilltop and the Kingdom, or learn from the Scavengers that the other two were in cahoots with Alexandria. I'm pretty sure Rick flat out told the ugly chick about his partners when he was recruiting her. Spoiler Lastly, where the hell are the zombies? Spoiler Season finale and exactly one zombie shown who then proceeds to fail miserably at zombieing. Spoiler God, I wanna die and comeback to eat alive the creators!

LOL.....even in the comics, Zombie killing.....for the most part.....is routine. Unless there is a major plot poin LOL....Zombie killing.....is routine....unless there is a specific plot point involved. Remember....they have been dealing with them for a while now.
