I wanted the team to play 4 qtrs. instead of waiting til the last quarter to decide they wanted to play. We did that tonight. The effort was there ! However, it's painfully obvious that we are missing a piece or two to be the team we all want. We have NOTHING inside pretty much. The teams beating us of late have taken the 3 pt. line away from us and when done we CAN'T go inside. We don't have the tools...if it isn't an alley oop PNR with Clint, it's pretty much not happening. Did I mention not good hands? Now, he is not a piece I want to discard BUT we have to have something inside. Nene's age/stamina is extremely limiting and Harrell is too small overall. We can't get where we all want to go w/o a scoring and defending big. JMO.

Ryno definitely would've made a difference in this game like the 1st game against GSW which was the only game they beat the warriors. When he hasn't played against GSW they've lost

    Agreed

tonight 7 times -3 for the three point foul. so he got to the line twice on drives. last night he had at least 2 three shot fouls, point is, you can blame the wrist for the jumpers all you want, but it's been an issue since well before the wrist.

I would count us in the circle of elite teams, just a tad below.

Every team is about the same, 3 and D, elite Guard or SF (perimeter stars). Couple of reliable big guys.

    Good coaching.

Depth, role players, X factors and defensive and offensive execution in the clutch are very important.

It is about game plan, experience and how much better the stars perform on a day to day basis, week to week basis.

I thought we defended them pretty well for the most part in this game. We were without Anderson which hurts us offensively. The biggest concern that I have is Harden's inability to get going offensively against them. Hopefully this is mainly because of his wrist. We need this version of Harden against GS...

Agreed. We should see more Nene in the playoffs based on the schedule format no back to back games which should help tremendously. Looking forward to the playoffs and I can't wait to see who the Rox attract in free agency this summer.

Yea Ryno not playing impacts Harden BIG TIME in addition to the wrist injury no doubt

You will have a problem if it is a conclusion that Harden can actually be controlled by GSW in a way.

true but I think the 1st game is more of a blueprint of these teams then the last 3 games they've played. They've added Matt Barnes we've added Lou Williams. I think Harden will play more like he did in the 1st game come playoff time versus the Harden we saw tonight but just my opinion...we shall see. Even sloppy Harden they only lost by a handfull of points both games. With both teams fully loaded I expect to see competitive games if they meet in the playoffs similar to the 1st game Rox played against the warriors and won...Ryno not on the court is cramping Harden's style on the court in negative ways

To this extent? he had a freaking airball tonight. Don't remember ever seeing 3 point attempt air ball from James as a Rocket probably ever!.. He is clearly botherd by it and he needs to sit out a couple of home games to get it sorted out.

Sure. Let us just go in and try to enjoy games.

Ref calls might be different, severe fouls, different dynamics altogether.

With MDA on board both teams have staff on board that know each other.

maybe not quite to this extent. I'm going to circle back to my original thought though. If it is truly causing such a problem, why take so many? Also, if the medical staff thought it was necessary for him to sit, he would sit. If he wants to tough it out, that's fine, but why wouldn't he reduce his number of threes taken if he though his chances of hitting were so effected?

That is why needs to sit a few games out to not only get his wrist right but recharge the body as a whole for the playoffs. He takes a lot of physical punishment night in night out due to his physical game style. You are not helping anyone playing banged up.He wont have a better opportunity then the games against Denver and the Pistons to get a 6 day rest and get back on the horse a few games before the playoffs start.

Personally, I don't think he is that hurt, but if you subscribe to the theory that he is in fact "banged up", he just got done calling guys out for sitting, so it would require him to swallow his pride. Do you think he's going to do that?

So you think his current play is the norm or his usual standard? wow. I don't know what to tell you then.He had a stretch where he had a few 40 point triple double followed by a couple of 39 and 38 triple doubles just before he injured himself in Denver where he fell hard on his wrist.

no, of course I don't think it's his usual standard, He is playing badly and I think it has less to do with his wrist than you do.
