His game tonight was the same iso-hero Harden as last season and during the previous 2 years in the playoffs. No defense, just iso, and forcing hero shots. Not trusting teammates and making plays. I hated that Harden and saw him again tonight. Iso-hero Harden seems to come out during close pressure playoff-like games.

because he knows teams are playing off of him so he kept taking those shots. It's really simple, when you think you're a really good shooter and teams are giving you space naturally you're going to want to take the shot

but then you look at the box score and you say oh ****

once they come out and guard you you burn them with that first step or call for a screen

They weren't helping from the weak side, limiting corner 3 opportunities

They weren't reaching in on harden, limiting free throws

Still, scored plenty of points but defense was bad. Need Ryno back

James has to stop throwing his hands in the sky after getting ripped. Thats a bad ass habit, he's had for some years now. He doesn't run back, its free points for the other team. These role players are watching him not hustle back, that carelessness **** rubs on off on the rest of the team. James is the engine, everyone on the team is watching and waiting on him to lead. I'm sick n tired of the "turnover, then pretend to be fouled play". That **** has gotten old. Can the coaches say something or are they scared?

I love watching the Rockets ! But, it's pretty obvious that we are a totally one dimensional team....fire up 3's, little to nothing inside (alley oop excepted), very little to no midrange game and NO DEFENSE. I mean NO DEFENSE. Honestly, it's a testament to Jimmy that we have 51 wins. We were best when he is penetrating and taking it inside. Haven't looked at a box score but I know he wasn't doing that and don't recall hardly any FTs. It is for the reason stated above that I feel he should be MVP. Jimmy does more with less IMO.But they are not giving him the MVP. Wish it wasn't so but short of CO-MVPs, not happening.

Most of those shots were guarded and forced threes so I'm not sure what you are saying.. If he was open and in-rythm, I wouldn't be as upset. Those were bad shots.

Yeah i feel you, I'm thinking about those stepback jumpers and spin moves out of the post. He's unstoppable in the post, hes too strong to not use his strength.

Harden is a turnover iso-hero ball machine during close high pressure games. He hasn't learned that the refs will not give him those so called foul calls during close playoff like games. He still has to prove the he is a closer during the playoffs, not just by playing hero-ball but by making plays for others as well.

This is the crux of the problem. Harden hasn't been a good 3-point shooter for the last two years, but in his mind he's still an elite shooter. Harden has declined in his outside shooting ability; I've watched him since OKC days, and trust me he was much more reliable from beyond the arc back then. But nobody has the balls to say this to Harden's face I assume.

in his mind they were open looks because a good shooter would make those shots he thinks he's better than he is apparently or he is struggling/injured which one is it

We need Anderson bad. We don't get as many open looks like were used to getting. Teams run as off the three pt line and they don't know what the F to do...SMH.

MDA is so overrated. Watch how the Warriors or the Spurs play; now that's a well-coached team. In contrast, our game is so predictable and much easier to defend. Part of it is Harden not being able to handle pressure defense, but the rest of the problem is that we don't really have an elaborate system, which I thought MDA was gonna bring to this team. Basically I'm not seeing a lot of ball movement out there.

All the boards are the same

Spurs: WOHOOO. We 're up 15-0 against the Warriors. Warriors got no shot against us. Pop is the greatest

2nd half: FUUUUUCK POP. FUCCCCCCK YOU OLD MAN. You got out coached again!!! LMA SUCKS!!! Kawhaii needs help!!!

Warriors: OMG. KERR is getting out coached again! Warriors need KD. Stephanie Curry sucks!!!

2nd half: We don't need KD. Spurs are done. Kerr is the greatest.

Rockets: WOHOO. Look at those 3's go in. Morey is the greatest. Got Lou Williams for Corey Sewer!! LOL > HAHA. We own

IN game: FVCK YOU MOREY. SWEET LOU SUCKS. Can't do crap when he can't score

MDA is stupid. NO DEFENSE COACH

Yikes, Patrick Beverley was a -23, far worse than anyone else on the roster. He's always had trouble vs Lillard

That Nurkic trade was such a game-changer for Portland's future. They will be relevant for years to come now

thanks for contributing. no one is whining to be honest just wondering what's going on is harden slumping or injured?

my bad, we are going to sweep the Warriors when they get kd back in the playoffs.

I said at the beginning of the season Mike Dantoni teams are regular season teams. What did you guys expect to be honest? His teams kick ass in the regular season but once teams scout him and figure out his offenseive schemes they take it away and make you beat them straight up. oh so you're shooting a lot of threes? We're just going to take away all the three pointers from your shooters. Now beat us. oh capela is killing us on the roll? We're just gonna stay attached to himll...amd much more. Just like teams get back in transition in the playoffs and try to make you beat them in the half court. They play harder and adjust. One thing that remains consistent in the playoffs is your defense. Teams can scout it but it's always going to get you stops when you need them and points in transition.

I still don't know what we are going to do against teams with big bigs, or a rim protector. all those teams need to do is force our shooters into driving into their big man and collapse and it's over. the spurs did it first and other teams copied it.
