Republican position - good to leak information that destroys Clinton and Democrats, illegal and a crime to leak information that damages a Republican.

Okay, I wish I had those minutes of my life back, but I've read the entire thread and several of the articles.

The thread title is not supported AT ALL, and I still fail to see what's new in here that we didn't already know.

Meanwhile, I do note that it's all-caps leading story (!!!!11!) at Fox News.com, ... not to say that influences certain posters here on what is or is not important, but I'm just ... asking the question.

So you will support prosecuting the the Trump white house staffers if they leaked the information to Nunes?

The state and federal laws are created to protect whistle blowers who use the right channels. The intelligence committee has their rules on how to approach them with classified material. These guys used the correct channels to communicate with Nunes. On the other hand, those who go rogue and use the media to propagate classified material should be prosecuted...

Actually president's staff leaking classified information to Nunes doesn't fall into the correct channels.

    you would be wrong...

Whomever doxxed the names of the two individuals to the NYTimes violated federal laws(some suspect it was Walsh, who was fired today)...But whistle-blowing through the right channels is protected...

FB, please wait for the proper investigations to now take place. It seems that the WH sent an official document requesting a thorough investigation in regards to Obama and alleged wiretap information. It seems, the information they requested was given to the IC...

I would be correct. I never said whistle blowing through proper channels wasn't allowed. One of my earlier posts about Nunes said that whistle blowing was one of the only ways he could have gotten any information outside of the committee.

White House Staffers supplying Nunes with information in an effort to help Trump isn't whistle-blowing. Let's get that out of the way from the get-go. I'll definitely wait for the investigations to take place.

I'll wait for actual facts to come out into the open. So far Nunes made some claims, and still hasn't shared the "information" he supposedly received with anyone. He may not have even actually received anything. We have no idea. All we know is that he made some claims backtracked on it when asked questions and the claims he made in the first place didn't really back up what Trump was claiming in his tweets which have already been disproven.

Nunes' actions may end up getting him in trouble, in no way validate Trump's claims, and he hasn't shared what he claimed to have been talking about with the other members of his committee from either party.

We also know that there is zero evidence that the WH aides that may have spilled information are in fact whistle-blowers unless we change the definition of what it means to be a whistle blower.

The head of a Congressional Committee investigating the White House (who once was part of the white house transition team) and is meeting with them furtively and giving reports to them over his own committee pretty much is the definition of gross corruption.

If Trump did indeed collaborate with the Russians and Nunes was aware of that while he is working to undermine his own committee, that may indeed also implicate Nunes as a traitor.

I wonder if you will be talking about whistle blowers when members of Trump staff are in handcuffs. A month a go it would be inconceivable to imagine the POTUS being arrested. That is no longer the case.
