He is not very political outside of the Presidency and is a very friendly and kind man. I have several relatives that speak to him fairly often that worked with/for him prior to being President and now in his retirement; and they all genuinely like him as a person. Supposedly he has told people he regrets having ever been President.

I have a family member who ABSOLUTELY LOATHES President Bush. But he says the same thing.

I think this is how most Democrats feel right about now. I wish it was how more Republicans felt.

I heard Bill Maher say the other day something along the lines of:

"I donated a lot of money to Obama's campaign to make sure Mitt Romney wouldn't be President. I'd pay that exact amount and more today directly to Mitt Romney if he agreed to be my President." :)

Dubya had daddy issues, so he had to show he could do something and even best his dad in doing a bigger war in Iraq-- probably one of the main reasons that led to Iraq War II, ISIS, terrorism in Europe a trillion or two of future medical expenses for the next 60 yrs for disabled vets etc.. Pretty much a sort of ADHD/ dyslexic guy with substance abuse issues who was born on third base and had a hard time keeping up with dad and others in the family. Nice enough guy, especially to party with. He should have been content to be a part owner of the Texas Rangers, his most successful business since they cut him in on a sweet deal due to his political connections which helped fund the stadium. Instead he had to get into the family business --the government/ business connections game which is essentially the main busdiness the Bushes have succeeded in during the last 50 years or so.

Probably won't happen, but it would be just like him to resign. Prove he can win an election.....then bail.

My theory all along was that he didn't really want to be President. He just wanted to win the election so he could add that to his resume. Or maybe lose the election and then claim he won it. That would have accomplished the same thing for his brand.

It's always been about his brand.

Don't believe this at all. Seems just like trolling for twitter attention, if you ask me. Resigning would be the ultimate "loser" move and he does not see himself as a loser.

Same here, I will believe it when Trump is impeached or resigns only when I see it.

WWR didn't seem to have anything else very controversial in their twitter stream, though the are critical of Trump. Plus Steele doesn't like Trump. Interesting that no one else has mentioned this, but perhaps the WWR person knows Steele.

It is interesting -- I'll grant you that. I just really think Trump wants 8 years and then to hand the crown over to his daughter who would become the beautiful and glorious first female president who he would still want to sex.

Yeah I don't believe this for one second. Especially if he's in hot water legally & potentially facing any criminal charges at all. The protections of the office of the Presidency is really his best hope for blocking, burying, or simply using his legal protections as President against what might be coming down the pipe.

Nixon only stepped down because there was a Democratic House that was going to get him impeached. Paul Ryan right now certainly is enabling Trump to the highest degree to serve himself. Trump will likely hold on as long as he can even through an impeachment... which I think is unlikely to happen at this point, but could change depending on what evidence is found reg collaboration with Russia.

I also haven't yet seen a huge separation between the Republican party yet and Trump. They obviously are still loosely attaching themselves to him because they believe their base of voters at home still approve of him. I need to see his approval rating go below 60% with Republicans and see GOP members separate themselves from Trump before Impeachment is a reality and before Trump THINKING about leaving the entitlements of the Presidency.
