I think you're obsessed with him... at this point, following the team with him coaching it is probably hazardous for your health.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Even though Texans coach Bill O'Brien has posted winning records in each of his first three seasons and has won back-to-back AFC South titles, he will not be getting an extension this year.

O'Brien is in the fourth year of the five-year contract he signed with the Texans in 2014.

"We'll talk to him about it at the end of this year," owner Bob McNair said Monday. "That's typically when we do that sort of thing."

O'Brien has a 27-21 record. Two coaches who were hired the same year as O'Brien – Minnesota's Mike Zimmer (26-22) and Washington's Jay Gruden (21-26-1) – signed two-year extensions.

O'Brien is the only one in that threesome who has a playoff victory.

Oakland's Jack Del Rio (19-13), who was hired in 2015, already received a four-year extension.

"We'll sit down and see what he's (O'Brien) happy with and if he wants to be extended and see how we feel," McNair said.

Sounds/looks like McNair wants BOB gone and BOB will be happy to hit the road if Ricky has power over BOB. Who wouldn't want out if Brock was forced upon them.

Sounds like a non-story. They aren't giving him an extension with 2 years left and they say they'll talk about extensions next off-season when he has 1 year left.

Agree! Show me something outside of a conservative passing game and a run first and second down offense.

Bob McNair, "Rick did a great job of cleaning up the **** on our mouths after he forced us to eat a **** pie."

Wow, the man is completely clueless.

First of all, nothing prevented the Texans from interviewing Brock once he became a free agent.

Second, no one has done that type of trade because no one trades a second rounder for a measly $10 mil in capspace

I have zero problem with Brock being forced on him. All BOB has done is bring in backup caliber QB's and drafted a late 4th round compensatory pick qb. You have to take a chance. Can't keep kicking the can down the road.

Youre right, cause theres no amnesty clause in football, but if there were, brock would have been the first to have received it.

When talking about Rick Smith=He did a hell of a job.

When talking about BoB=He's working for an extension.

WTF man!!! Even if BoB is playing along, this can't be sitting well with him. Fair is fair and this just ain't right. And I thought Drayton was bad.

McNair is Drayton 2.0 . He puts enough money to keep people coming to the games, but he is more concerned with lining his pockets than winning championships.

Believe it or not I didn't have a problem with Ricky bringing in Brock.

I do have a problem with Ricky not owning his boo boo

That's silly. McNair is already very wealthy. His pockets are already packed full of cash. Also, where do you want him to spend money?
