Kerr was great to the league on his championship runs as a player so now the league pays him back by looking the other way on illegal screens and all the other total bs calls they get in their favor. It's so obvious. Not saying Kerr sux but his nuts are getting massaged and that can mean the world in a close game/series.

We were hurt by the lack of "must-have" rebounds. You can't give GS more than one shot on each possession.

This is where we are hurt by size. As many of you can imagine, I was screaming at Clint most of the game. He is just too thin though. Admittedly, I shouldn't be frustrated with him as much as I have been over the years. He simply needs time. Yesterday was an example of his skill deficit as a one-on-one defender. He is a liability on defense, with the exception of weak-side help. That's where Clint does well. And, with his inability to shoot the ball outside of 2 feet, defenders can back off unless Harden is penetrating and looks for the 'oop.

Taj would have helped us, but I understand why we didn't want to give up Pat for a rental. (Wish Chi-town took the overrated, disgruntled leaper instead)

Ne had a terrible game, and to be fair, so did our team. Harden played hurt and it was obvious.

Again, though, our lack of depth in the paint is a major concern.

must be nice to have 4 all-stars with 2 ex all stars on the same team. when 1 goes down, you got 3 more to pick up the slack.

Who cares if they're a bunch of bandwagon-hoppers? Last time I checked they're not the ones out there playing on the court. They're not the ones that made it 17-3. Making fun of the bandwagon fans doesn't accomplish anything. That's all we got on them? "Well, oh yeah?! At least I'm not a bandwagon fan!" You really think a bandwagon fan cares about being a bandwagon fan? It's like telling a person that makes 300k a year who constantly cracks the screen of his or her new iPhone that "At least I don't have a cracked screen on my phone." So what? They'll buy a new one. They don't care.

Why are you trying to be condescending? I'm trying to be positive here. Some Rockets fans, man lol. I don't think there is one team capable of being favored over the Warriors this season. What I'm saying is that they're a superior team, but we're obviously still a pretty good team as well. The end point of my OP is to not worry about the Warriors this current season. This is year-1 in Morey's re-tooling around Harden and won't be the final product. The post was saying focus on getting out the 2nd round, and even the 2nd round if we can which we are capable of doing. We do that then we have a better chance of attracting a 2nd game changing player. Although attaining one through trade seems a little more likely.

Woah, this puts things in perspective a lot. Their dominance around the NBA is something else.

If only Dwight joined them instead of us. They were plan B for him if I'm not mistaken.

Remember that Draymond always kicks someone in the nuts and gets himself suspended in the playoffs.

    But only if it's LerBon.

Meanwhile, feel free to tackle Michael Beasley, kick Steven Adams & whoever else you want.

No doubt we have to add at least another all star to complete with them seeing how they have 4. Moving out Lou Williams and Trevor Ariza to sign Gordon Hayward would get us close. But even then, you'll need someone currently on the roster to make a big leap like Draymond did for them. Maybe Dekker or Harrell develop a consistent 3 point shot? Maybe Zhou Qi becomes everything you thought D-Mo would be? Maybe a 2nd rounder takes off like Parsons did? It's all possible but luck is necessary.

Bingo. Been saying the exact same thing all season. Gotta have more defense in the paint.

Would like your opinion on some dleague guys and other possible free agent bigs.

Sure would like to know if Udoh has an nba escape clause. And would like to know if Melli could get a buyout and help us. And lastly, does Jason Thompson have anything left?

We actually out rebounded them on the offensive boards. We certainly need Capela or someone to be a better defender, but when you miss 50 field goals, including 26 3-pointers, that's going to give up a lot of defensive rebounds.

The GSW just take advantage of our sloppy defensive rotations and all of our switching to feast in the paint because our players lose their man like no other team. I wish MDA would use Dekker and Ariza like Kerr uses Iggy and Thompson cutting to the basket.

Offensively, the ball gets sticky and we still have a habit of having folks camp out around the 3 point line while Harden works. We need more motion and we need more cutting to the basket instead of standing around too often.

Rockets out-scored GS <20 points total in their 3 victories.

Meanwhile, Warriors' average point-diff in victories is ~20.

It's even worse when you consider that Morey is trying to build this team to beat Golden State, specifically.

Hard to beat a team with multiple top 20 players. This is like the Jordan era all over again.

We were in striking distance with them..... and Dubs just won against the Spurs... they are legit.

We are a tier below IMO but neither them nor the Spurs do want to face us in the Playoffs!!!
