Beating the Warriors tonight and on April 1 in my opinion will cement Harden as the MVP. Beating the Warriors is a news grabber. It makes news so their is no better publicity for James then to beat the Warriors.

So you're still a doubter regarding Harden MVP?

Rockets are 7-1 in their last 8 games, with wins over LeBron and Westbrook, a Harden game-winning layup, 4 triple-doubles, two of which had 40 points...If that doesn't cement it, then Harden can't do anything to win

Without Durant, I might be drinking too much of this kool-aid but I just don't think GSW has the horses to run with the Rockets now.

I also don't think he's coming back this year. Torn ligaments are one thing, bone bruises are another crazy kind of hurt. KD never came off as a tough guy to me and I for one can promise you, you never want to have a bone bruise ever, ever, EVER. Had a bad one on my shin, felt like I had a damn baby through my shin. Walking sucked for like 6 months, there was no way I was running or jumping on a weekend-warrior level let alone pro-baller NBA athlete.

Is it officially confirmed that KD has a bone bruise? I've read and heard various diagnosis of his injury. And, yes if the Rockets can click (Lou and Ego go off) then it'd be tough for anyone to beat them.

apparently the ligament sprain isn't even the issue. Warrior PR twitter confirmed tibial bone bruise via MRI. it's the worst pain i've ever endured, i'd put his chance at coming back this season near 0%.

Thanks. It looks like they are anticipating KD to come back to play the last week of the reg season or early in the playoffs if he has "minimal" pain and he can play through it. Has there been precedent of nba players that came back to play effectively after suffering a bone bruise in the same season?

My understanding is that Rudy Gay had the same injury and looked like total garbage for 3 months after.

I promise you, KD is gonna roll up on offseason workouts having had the time to rest and heal...going into next season his freking leg is gonna hurt. It's like that, no exaggerating. Where mine was, 2 years later, if something bullseye hits it just right it just screams at me.

Did it look like his "garbage" was more attributed to rust/conditioning or his explosiveness was noticeably off?

It sounds like this is just one of those nagging injuries like bad ankle sprains and other joint issues that professional athletes just have to live with and continue to play through for a good stretch in their careers yeah?
