Suicides as well, but I don't know how suicide rates compare to those other nations. Excessive eating and the rise of binge drinking probably don't help either. The false belief that pills will save us from all of our excesses is our major flaw in the US imo.
i don't know.. maybe too many guns; maybe not enough social programs; maybe our diet... whatever the case, one thing is clear... whatever the problems, healthcare is a major contributor and factor to life expectancy. EDIT: look at birth mortality rate and you get another data point that rule out many factors that creep in later in life
EDIT: well that image came out horrible -- link: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db23.htm In 2005, the latest year that the international ranking is available for, the United States ranked 30th in the world in infant mortality, behind most European countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Israel
Can we stop posting these low-information graphics? They cherry pick a bunch of mostly-European countries. Where's the Congo on this list? LOL
Anything that mandates, requires, punishes those who do not purchase insurance is a doomed model. Anything that involves insurance companies being the payer for re-existing conditions is a failure. Nobody is thinking outside the box and nobody is trying to overhaul healthcare. There are only two viable options. 1) Get healthcare affordable enough for those with pre-existing conditions can afford it out of pocket. This will not happen under a free market system. 2) Universal healthcare that does not require the need for private insurance.
Spicer, Trump, hey republicans, get on the train! Sean Spicer: House Obamacare Replacement Bill ‘The Only Train Leaving the Station’ http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...acare-replacement-bill-train-leaving-station/
Hopefully. That was one thing that I had some hope... Trump, being you know, an outsider, would do... oh well
I have an idea. Just stop calling it Obamacare and get on with the country's business. That should placate your average Trump supporter. If for some reason it doesn't, and they start asking why he didn't keep his campaign promise, just start chanting something like "LOCK HER UP!"
Trump and the republicans so hated Obama and ACA that instead of tackling infrastructure, jobs, or even taxation they instead failed at health care.
