I doubt much changes in the regular season next year, but it will not be called in the playoffs unless the game is out of reach. I bet the refs will be schooled not to make that call in the playoffs and most the league will applaud them for it.

Agree. All the other teams will agree to a change. My fear is the refs stop calling it in the playoffs. I think as long as he has both hands on the ball and gets a good shot off they will give it to him. Sometimes he only has 1 hand on the ball, and the other arm is the one making contact. Those are more suspect.

Most efficient possession in basketball, a shooter fouled while attempting a three.

I don't get why it would get called all season long and then once the playoffs start the refs will just decide that it's no longer a foul.

Well sure. Gordon and Lou, especially the latter, can create for themselves and others.

unless it's obviously blatant, i can also see the refs swallowing the whistle a bit more. if they see him creating the contact first it definitely won't be called. we've seen that on a number of occasions already this year

Add that to the long list of rules the NBA instituted as a result of the Rockets.
    1) Hand checking: Knicks/Rockets finals was hand check hell.
    2) 5 second back down: Barkley "backing it in ...backing it in"
    3) Jump straight up and down to defend the basket: Defenders simply jumped into Yao to get a foul
I recall the Steve/Mobley days saw a rule change due in part to their style is iso.

    I know there are more.

Russ tries to do this move and fails a lot, and ends up caroming the ball off the backboard.
