He just doesn't belong on a playoff team since he wouldn't get court time. I hope he finds his game in BKN and can become a NBA contributor.

Coaches have to put players in positions to be successful. That wasn't going to happen here. KJ is a athletic slasher/defender with a developing shot , not a 3&D guy. Rockets currently want 4 shooters and big. GS and SA wants 3 shooters a big and a slasher. That's what Morey envisioned when he traded for KJ but D'antoni is all in on shooters. KJ will be fine, just has to find the right NBA home, I see him being in the league for a long time. To athletically gifted not to be barring injury of course.

The box score looks like a d-league game. Every loss helps these two teams. KJs shot is broke as heck.

Honestly, even the highlights were not that impressive.

He dunked a few times because he was completely open under the basket, hit his free throws and hit a 3 that he seldom makes.

I don't have any negative feelings for him, he just has some Stromile Swift in him.... he just doesn't have a real feel for where to be and what to do on the basketball court.

I am glad he had a good game but once D'Antoni decided that McDaniels was a clown; there was no way he was ever going to see the court.

I like the work Atkinson is doing in player development with Levert Whitehead and their other young players. Maybe he can help also KJ.

This has always been my contention. KJ just doesn't have good "basketball feel" and thus is a little stiff. Compare Dekker to KJ, the way they move on the court.

He looks like a good backup for Ariza....
