Okay, so I'll make it as easy as possible. Cavs were using roster spots this season on Jordan McRae and DeAndre Liggins, even giving them guaranteed contracts. Instead of doing so, they could've drafted two players that were available in the first round and easily have more potential than those two. LeBron won't quit this year or next, so there's time for development. If you don't want to develop at all, like you are suggesting, you trade the two draft picks later and get a lot - a lot! - more out of that than Timofey Mozgov. Like I said, we got Lou Williams for one pick. Two first round picks for Mozgov = terrible deal.
do you even know the details of the trade. you might want to go revisit it. It wasn't even for the 2016 draft. It was for 2015 draft picks. protected at that. You might want to familiarize yourself with the actual details first before you criticize thinking it was this terrible deal like you're imagining it to be. lol at trading the draft picks later like Losing Varejao had nothing to do with it either yeah someone is definitely not familiar with the exact details. not concerned with what the rockets did. congrats to morey. nothing new there.
Both picks didn't convey in 2015, Memphis and OKC picked themselves back then. The OKC pick came into play in 2016 (Furkan Korkmaz), the Memphis pick got traded to Portland this January as part of the Nurkic/Plumlee deal and will probably be used this year. So much about familiarity. Varejao going down is no valid point for spending two first round picks on Mozgov and I haven't seen any other from you either. Why are you so reluctant on admitting that it was a bad trade? Secret Cavs fan?
so with all that said what are you even trying to argue about? nothing in that post shows remotely anything that benefits Lebron when they acquired mosgov and he started all but 1 game when they lost varejao. Again won a championship check. Next. you have offered nothing of value in your rambles. On to the next topic
So we're back at the start, huh? Alright, one final time... Mozgov had nothing to do with their Championship (played 25 minutes in total in seven final games, averaged 5.8 minutes in the 2016 Playoffs), they could've received a lot more out of that two picks (Lou Williams, Kyle Korver and Bojan Bogdanovic got traded for one pick) and Cleveland made a terrible deal out of desperation. That's my whole point, I didn't see any counter-argument from you and that's all I'm going to say in this thread.
Yeah acknowledged that but he was definitely needed when they made the move for him They lost basically nothing that could be of use to Lebron then and for foreseable future
