Wow... that sure looks like bad news for Obama. Sure hope Trump, Price, et al don't make similar promises... Tom Price: 'We don’t believe' anyone will lose health coverage under GOP bill http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/323384-tom-price-we-dont-believe-that-individuals-will-lose-coverage-under-gop Oops, too late! So, based on your criticism of Obama, I expect you to criticize Trump and Price as well, unless you are a hypocrite and partisan hack...
Because we'll never see eye to eye on this, and I want to understand, I want to ask a question that I hope sheds some light on your thoughts: Do you not think that the people who "forego" health insurance (either by choice or inaccessibility) will negatively affect you, when you do visit the doctor, because they too will go to the doctor and be unable to pay? Do you not think that the price of patients who are unable to pay expensive hospital bills is passed onto consumers like yourself when you pay premiums? More fundamentally, should people who cannot pay for healthcare receive medical treatment?
Wow, you know its a big lie when even Breitbarf calls it out... Breitbart: Price health care vow 'lie of the year?' http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/12/politics/tom-price-health-care/index.html
First of all, the Republican plan doesn't really remove the mandate. They just swapped the mandate for the new surcharge on premiums for people who previously didn't maintain coverage. Second, the reality is that if people are offered affordable health insurance, they'll generally buy it. If anything, the ACA subsidies weren't generous enough and weren't marketed correctly. However, the Republican tax credits that replace ACA subsidies don't actually come close to making premiums affordable and killing medicaid only increases the pool of the uninsured. A $4000 tax credit won't do a damn thing for a family making $30,000 a year. And good luck if you live in a rural area. Health care in rural USA is incredibly expensive. You're operating with very limited hospital networks with significantly higher health care costs. The Republican plan is just a way to repeal the ACA taxes. The rest of the bill consists of huge cuts to offset the loss of tax revenue. This has nothing to do with providing health care to anyone.
You are a perfect example of today's Republican Party. It's a party I don't recognize. It certainly bears no resemblance to the GOP of Reagan. All you care about is yourself. Everyone else can go to hell. Your motto is "blatant selfishness and survival of the fittest." Selfishness as national policy. Can't afford health insurance? Tough luck!
As a young guy and due to my above average income level, I'll save money under Republicare/ Trumpcare. I don't mind. Poor and elderly Trump voters who voted for Trump got duped by Trump. They'll say they take one for the team, sacrifice them self for the better of public. Darwinism at its finest lol. You reap what you sow. They'll suck it up and be happy about it as long as the "other" poor people and leechers suffer. I would have gladly paid more in taxes for the betterment of society and believing Healthcare is a right not a priviledge. Meanwhile ignorant uneducated people will cut off their own nose to spite other people. Irony
Wow, didn't think you would admit to being just a partisan troll so easily. And using the term "pwn3d", showing you are behind the times...
That is certainly a very likely scenario, I just wonder if Trump's ego will allow him to become a lame duck president before the mid terms.
Our healthcare facility company is hemorrhaging money up the kazoo ever since we went from accepting medicaid, Medicare, and trickle, Obamacare. Our govnt says if you want medicaid to reimburse you have to see patients with 0 money either. I don't know why our company thought that was a good idea. Stock went from 100 bucks to 2 dollars. Charge poor people upfront with a big copay. Make them schedule appointments with their pcp and save us the 4 billions from the taxpayers.
Less people insured. Raise health cost for older and poor. Put more money into pocket of the very rich. Sounds like a good Trump plan.
We all end up paying for it anyway when the uninsured end up in emergency rooms running up $20,000 bills.
