LOL... the Trump spokesperson team, the gift that just keeps on giving! "I'm not Inspector Gadget," Conway said. LOL! Conway denies suggesting wider surveillance of Trump http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/13/politics/kellyanne-conway-wiretapping-allegations-cnntv/
WTF did I just read !!!!!!! https://www.wired.com/2017/03/kellyanne-conway-microwave-spying/ “And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera. So we know that that is just a fact of modern life.” say what? what? what??????????? “However, I’m not in the job of having evidence, that’s what investigations are for.” If you don't have the evidence, stop making ridiculous crazy claims, accusations & assertions!!
This takes the cake. Good luck convincing the majority of Americans, Mr. Trump, that what you said multiple times and what your people in the White House defended on your behalf numerous times, actually meant something else. Give us all a ****ing break. So which idiot here is going to dive in and defend the indefensible? Any I don't have on ignore?
It has become clear this administration is simply a new season of Celebrity Apprentice All Stars with Gary Busy as project manager.
The really entertaining thing is, we're less than 100 days in. Does anybody really think this it the "low point" for the entire term? So they're probably going to come up with some way at some point to top this absurdity, but how? The mind boggles trying to imagine. Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.
You think they spun out this admission knowing the CBO report would steamroll over this? Hard to joke about this aspect of the Trump Clownshow when the results of their next major lie results in millions losing access to affordable healthcare coverage...
Isn't it? They're freaking out. They are fearful of looking stupid on this forum. Well, you "alt-right" chumps out there, it is too late.
Trump is not all that smart, he is losing it. What I don't understand is how anyone can actively support this guy, I mean I understand wanting to support conservative values, but Trump has no values at all. DD
Not like they had any credibility to begin with, they'll just create other threads and act like nothing happened. And the cycle continues.
just like Trump whenever he is being asked by reporters, as to the evidence for his claim of being wire-tapped by Obama
I think you have to understand the mentality of his most loyal supporters, the Alt-Right/Neo-Libertarian nutjobs. That Nationalist faction has grown out of the shadows of the internet and infiltrated the minds of a lot of Americans. So the question is how many people are in this deep as a Trump loyalist. Maybe there is a better barometer that I can't think of but right now more than 37% of American Republicans have a favorable opinion of Vladimir Putin AND GROWING. So as a whole that is somewhere between what... 12 and 15% of Americans right? (haven't done the math yet). That's probably a good indication of the percentage of Americans who are drinking the Trump kool aid. Then you got the other 30% of American voters who voted for Trump anyways. I think a lot of those people either aren't educated enough in political culture, only support him because James Dobson laid hands on him in a prayer circle, are in a wait and see mode, or are lying to you if they tell you that they are happy with him as President because they want to feel like they aren't on the wrong side of history by the way they voted. Back to the 12 to 15% of "Trump hard cores".... why do they support him and this cluster F of a presidency so far? Do you remember the line from The Dark Knight when Alfred tells the story about how "Some Men Just Want to Watch the World Burn?" I see a philosophy that is deep seeded in this class where they see the whole system as rigged against them. They see themselves as not getting enough attention in society (maybe there is a problem with authority they have as a part of their philosophy). They aren't happy with their lives, and they just want to see the whole thing blow up where we can burn it to the ground and start over. In this dystopia they will potentially mean something. They feel like Trump is their mouthpiece and vehicle for change. They don't care that he lies. They don't care that Trumpcare wont work, or that he corrupt as hell profiting off the Presidency. They see a stick of dynamite being stuffed under an old tree stump. Where we, the media, Dems, AND REPUBLICANS etc. have a job to do is to make sure that the 12 to 15% of Americans that have fallen into the Alt-Right culture don't grow to 25 to 30% with the popularization of websites like Breitbart, and Infowars with Trump giving them a national voice. The Right needs to be reminded that the basis of these ideals stems from a very dark, sometimes racist, and amoral basis. They also need to be reminded about the History of Nationalism in our world in the past few hundred years. It cannot be repeated enough that Nationalism in Europe in the early 1900's is what led to both World Wars. These people either didn't live through it or aren't educated enough in what they are buying into to know how dangerous it really is. Sorry.... long explanation of "Why are people supporting this guy".
Very nice post, dobro. When you can conflate The Dark Knight with the most ardent of Trump supporters, you are pushing the envelope. I like it!
Haha... Honestly every time I hear a snipet of a Steve Bannon interview for whatever reason I always think of that line from TDK. Its stupid but for whatever it sticks. Honestly though it is an existential problem we have. Its also not a new problem in history. Europe in the early 1900's. This stuff is toxic if it infiltrates our politics & if those politicians get ahold of enough of their population to buy in.
