They just want their team to win. I'm sure pissing off liberals is the icing on their **** cake. See it's intellectually easy and convenient to act as if all government is bad, corrupt, and inept to the point where they can pretend to be right with either party's failures. What separates the men from the boys is to stand and act for something that actually gets somewhere and benefits the people and victims they pretend to be outraged over
Don't remember who said it but... Many 'Conservatives' aren't actually conservative now. They are just 'Anti-Liberal', you are seeing more of these types pop up. You even see it here when people's best come back for an argument is "But Hillary lost though..." Nothing matters more than just keeping liberals out of office. So yeah, they just want their team to win. That's all that matters now.
A lot of them are looking for gifts that benefit their side, like wholesale regressive tax cuts when their side wins or potential tax credits for sending their children to schools with people that look like...uhhhh are "more aligned with their values." Of course, when they see liberal plans, they b**** and moan because it looks like an all around giveaway that benefits the middle lower classes and penalizes them of their decisions not to congregate or participate with the plebs. The whole "picking winners and losers" b****ing during the Obama years has gone silent in the last 50 days because they're waiting for their Christmas(es) to come soon, even if it cost taxpayers trillions of dollars from lost benefits and public works from the unpaid gap in revenue. And people wonder and complain why the governments gone down the drain. This lunch ain't free.
You got to be ****ing kidding me lmao. This combined with the video posted a couple of post up is hilarious. What a clown show.
According to trump this is first real jobs report. He stated before the election that unemployment was 30%. Some how by adding 235000 jobs he has managed to reduce ue by 25%. That is some sort of wizardry right there.
If you give him credit this early, then should you not give Clinton blame for the early 2000's recession?
Nope. This is the fault of the entire US political system and both parties. Democrats largely abdicated their role as a check against corporate power in the early '80s while unions (the tool through which the working classes grew their share of wealth) were decimated. Both parties are complicit in this. And this inequality isn't Trump's fault, even though is one of the poster boys for it. Is what he exploited to get into power. And it is what his policies are intensifying and worsening. He is earning his share of the blame now. And, as time passes, we will be able to point the finger at him, too, so long as his policies exacerbate the inequality instead of reverse it.
inequality of outcomes is not an inherently good or bad thing, it depends on the cause the correct metric is median standard of living, household income/wealth, etc. not relative comparisons, which assume a zero sum game the leftists/socialists would rather two people be equally worse off than unequally better off
Are you sure about that? Compare Obamacare to Trumpcare and it seems like conservatives would much rather have two people be equally worse off than unequally better off. One of those plans tried to cover everyone and the other didn't care to and wanted to slash taxes for the very wealthy. So exactly how is it that the lefties would rather two people be equally worse off?
We'll see if Trump challenges Neoliberal policies that have vastly benefitted the .1% or continues his bigly spree of benefitting bliilonaire buddies and businessmen.
We still end up paying for people without insurance.... the costs aren't just absorbed if we cover less people. I would imagine deductibles will continue to rise as this plan still has no teeth to get young folks to buy insurance.
His minions called him a genius for reporting a billion dollar loss and paying no taxes in the years after it. Trump knows maths. That's Grand Wizard status...for his minions.
Unbelievable. The economy is a freighter. It takes a long time to get moving and takes a long time to stop or make turns. This belief that Trump has done ANYTHING to the economy is preposterous in such a short amount of time. The gains we see in the stock market are nothing but speculation that businesses will do better with less environmental and other regulations. When the gains in the market don't match the actual profits of businesses, we're bound to see a massive market correction. It's inevitable.
Respectfully disagree! No matter what the median is, if you have millions of desperate and/or resentful poor people with access to guns and vehicles, **** can get really real.
Are you being genuine here? This sounds like the exact same marketing the right has pushed for so long i.e. the alleged war on conservatism. The reason the marketing is effective is it dehumanizes the other side. And it is effective for the powerful, not for the people. If you believe that they don't believe in their declared principles and are only against yours, and they believe the same about you, then it is easy to fling poo at each other, which leads to a master marketer coming in and stealing the presidency with surgical accuracy. Conservatives are conservative. The people you disagree with believe as deeply in what they state as you do. Their enemy and the majority of voters' enemy was the establishment, as was the enemy of the democrats. Don't ignore that more people voted for Trump and Bernie than they did for Hillary. A ton of people were so disenfranchised that they didn't even feel a vote would matter in their lives, despite being as educated about it as anyone else. This context matters. The only difference is the establishment democrats murdered their anti-establishment candidate while the conservative establishment - as hard as they tried - couldn't do the same because their voters are more desperate, more beaten down and have been more ignored in the past 8 years. These are people with legitimate grievances. Their part of the country has been hollowed out and they watched their grandparents and parents and siblings lose their jobs with forced dignity. They are hurting and I assure you they believe as much in what they believe as anyone else who claims to.
100% genuine. No, many of these people aren't conservative. In fact, before he won the election it was conservatives saying that very same thing. To be conservative is to have certain principles and values, you don't just throw these away in favor of some candidate. If Bernie sanders had been for privatizing healthcare for instance, how many on the left would have supported him? What if they all supported him because he's on their side? My point is proven by the constant hypocrisy shown by Trump voters. The whining about corruption while they voted in the most corrupt candidate of them all. I don't get the point here. More people voted for Bernie and Hillary than they did Trump. It really is irrelevant to the point that many people are just anti-liberal. Hell, in fact we have people that oppose Obamacare even though they benefit from it! They are voting against their own interest simply because their interest align with that of a liberal politician. You can't be more anti-liberal than that. Everyone. EVERYONE has legitimate grievances. I'm quite frankly tired of hearing about the poor white dissolving middle class to be honest. As if no other demographic has grievances or that their grievances should be addressed over others.
