Remember when I was saying "Perception Matters"? Some of you guys were like, what the hell is DreamShook babbling about. It's not enough to be good. Letting your game speak for it's self is a myth.

There it is.. Pack it up. Let's go home.

Harden will have to do something herculean to sway voters. Cavs coming up. Harden will have to eat Lebron's heart to gain his knowledge and Power.. it's the only way.

It's nice to finally be unburdened by the MVP talk, it was exhausting.

Harden should win. He has been the most consistent best player all year. He has the stats and the wins.

Whenever Kawhi puts up good stats, the media praises him. But his numbers just aren't good enough for all 82 games. Also Coach Pop and the Spurs really don't need him every game of the year, like the Rockets need Harden and the Thunder need Westbrook.

The Thunder lost 4 straight games to non-playoff teams, one of those games Westbrook had 58 points/9 assists/3 rebounds...Then they beat the Spurs and Westbrook gets 23 points/13 assists/13 rebounds, and he's MVP now? The 58/9/3 stat line is WAY better than 23/13/13. It's like the media praises him no matter what...They lose 4 in a row "His teammates are trash". They win one game with a meh triple double "He's now the clear front-runner.

Triple-doubles are great. But it's like people think 20/10/10 is better than 30/11/9.

LeBron has too much talent around, they are under-achieving, and he takes too many games off. Kawhi had a good moment versus Harden the other night, but then lays an egg against the Thunder.

I'm telling you, Harden needs more moments. He has a great chance Sunday night on ABC against LeBron to really showcase his resume. If the Rockets win Sunday night and Harden puts up like 35 and 12, these talking heads will flip back to Harden. He also has 4 straight games at the end of the month all on national TV against Westbrook/GSWx2/POR.

It's also important to point out that with everybody assuming it will be Warriors/Cavs in the Finals, there's not much to talk about with the NBA on a daily basis other than who will win MVP, hence the constant over-analysis of every game. Kawhi blocks Harden, he's MVP. Westbrook beats the Spurs, he's MVP. Harden loses to Utah, he sucks...etc.

I dread the "statement games". I think, more often than not, Harden always seems to fall just short of absolute glory.

The story is the Warriors super team. KD leaving his old team for the superteam and leaving Westbrook all alone to fight for himself. And now he is putting up huge numbers and is battling back. There is your narrative.

    Harden/MDA is a subplot. :(

Rockets have Cleveland this Sunday on ESPN and March 26th against OKC on ABC. The Rockets & Harden can feel free to play their best games those days and not this dummy ball we have seen lately.

Usually these guys will hide behind a narrative, a stat, or a moment. They NEVER say, "We just don't like you."

I don't think I have ever heard it in plain English like that.

^ That sounds familiar. Didn't they say they made the video to try to get Harden to change his ways. In the end it didn't matter because that video is now gospel regardless of what Harden does. Pretty much backfired.

It is what it is. Harden's fault for that video being made I guess. Obliterated his reputation forever.

Losing games only matters if the Rockets do it

Lose to Portland, Phoenix, Dallas and Portland in a row. Beat San Antonio. = MVP

The fact that Westbrook is in this race is a joke let alone winning. Should be 4th or 5th on most lists but triple Doubles y'all. I really wouldn't be bothered by Harden losing to Leonard but would be if he lost to WB.

Once you realize there is no way Harden will get the MVP, your quality of life improves dramatically! I feel great!

I can see everyone turning down their expectations for Harden's MVP chances, but I still want to believe. Harden is in my opinion a top 5 all rockets player (probably top 3 - Dream, Moses, Harden), he deserves to be rewarded after constantly getting the short end of the stick, and this is his year, so I'm really hoping it happens.

Dream - MVP, Moses - MVP, Harden - MVP?

Then hopefully the next step will follow

    Dream - Ring

Moses - Ring (with the 76ers the year after he won his second MVP with the rox (He also got Finals MVP with the 76ers), management made a ****ing awful decision to not match the 76ers off sheet (Moses was a restricted free agent) one of the worst decisions the rox management ever made imo was letting Moses walk),

    Harden - Ring?

Ok sure this may be optimistic and delusion, but what is the world without hope? I want to believe!

This is the proper way to view it. Westbrook is going to win, barring a late Kawhi surge. But the Rockets should be the 3 seed if all goes well! That's good with me!

Both Stephen A. And Max Kellerman say that James Harden is MVP as of right now
