I like Harden, but he does not play with nearly the will that Russ plays with nor does he demand the effort of his teammates that Russ does. For those reasons he likely will not win the MVP. Houston does not win a single game that conventional wisdom says that they should not win and in fact they have lost about 10 of those games this year.

Patrick Beverly plays with a lot of will, doesn't mean he's better than Harden.

Westbrook does not improve the players around him.

That's true but keep in mind at one point Houston was 30 and 9. They are now 44 and 21, 14 and 12 in the last 26 games is just not very impressive for this team. The improvements are apparent if we are comparing this team to last years team, but this team by talent is arguably the 3rd to 4th best team in the NBA. My problem with Houston is you do not see that team very often. IMO they should be closer to 8 to games ahead of the likes of Utah, but with losing leads and only playing 20 to 24 hard minutes of basketball they are giving games away. IMO the last time Houston played to win a game from beginning to end was their game against Memphis at the end of January and that was a while ago.

But Beverley, not Harden, is the soul of this team. I'm serious. :D

2015 Harden was the true definition of an MVP, carry his sorry ass team to second seed with Dwight the cancer being out for half the season. Literally had to do everything, oh they won the division crown also. Only reason Harden lost was because the media was too thirsty for Curry's ****.

Westbrook is not winning it. If Houston can win 55+ games then it is Harden's. That's a 11-6 record the rest of the way. Otherwise, if the Rockets end the season on a bad streak then it is Leanards.

Harden wins MVP if he doesn't choke B2B games with the spurs in a embarrassing fashion. Same thing happened this year only I'd say, 2 wins on those GS games and Harden could make up for his choke

Yeah Harden wasn't clutch at all in 2015!!! Oh wait, I can't even count the number of games he singlehandedly won us in the 4th quarter that season. Hard to believe you even watch the games with opinions as stupid as the one you just shared here.
