He's a turd, for sure.....BUT...he can get the ball to the WR's AND if you can get him for a year or two on the cheap, draft a qb (and hope), it wont hurt. He's 1000 times better than any qb the Texans have ever had, save Matt Schaub when he was slightly above average.
People dont like Cutler...unless it was a dirt cheap deal...I really dont see Cutler here in Houston...but who knows..never imagined we could offload Brock's contract...strange things indeed.
Cutler can make all the throws...and he knows how to manage a game. Give him our line next year with the weapons he'd have at his disposal. He'll cost a lot less than Romo (opening up other areas to spend our jack) AND carries much less downside risk. Bring on Jay Cutler!
Exactly. His only issue is that he's a mope...but when he's on a good team, he's actually not that bad. He's rarely ever been on a good team.... Never know... Much better and hopefully cheaper option than Romo. Tho both are injury prone.
Cutler coming to Houston would be such a killjoy...If the Texans have a shot for Romo...got to go for the better presumed player. If reports were true about the Texans having a chance to get Peyton Manning...and decided to stick with Schaub...that will forever remain a haunting decision.
Well, there's some who would like the move.....till the games started, then they would hate it and call for everyone to be fired.
He could be the reason for that. It's not like he hasn't had talent around him. He had Marshall, Jeffrey, and Forte for a while there. It takes a lot of work to mess that up.
Not saying you're wrong...like i said above, he's a mope....a dark cloud kinda dude. All that said....he's a HOF'er compared to Brock. All the talent the Texans have on both sides of the ball, adding a Cutler is not moving backwards compared to where they were. That's a FACT! I would say you need a STRONG locker-room and leadership in said locker-room that overlooks the fact that the QB is NOT a leader, doesn't want to be a leader, and teammates that are okay with that.
Scratch last year due to injury....Look at the numbers in 2015... without AJ for half the year....on a team wrecked by injuries....Then, check out 2014. All this playing for the Bears. Cutler wasn't the problem. This guy needs a veteran team that's playing for something.
Certainly. He's definitely an improvement vs last year and vs what they have now. But I hope they at least initially set their sights higher, and then only settle for Cutler if they have to.
Is someone going to start a Kapernick thread. He would be even cheaper than Cutler and is much younger. Kap actually only threw 4 picks last year, only a fraction of what Brock did and actually threw for more TDs and averaged over 2 yards higher per throw. Kap also averaged 40 yards rushing per game! Bring on Kap!
as much as i like the option of Romo or Cutler .. . . . so that should tell you somehting Rocket River
Career Passer Ratings Romo-97.1 RG3-88.4.....mostly due to his rookie year when he had a qb rating of 102.4 Cutler-85.7 VY-74.4
