Play more Montrez Harrell? The Rocket's 2nd unit only works well when they are shooting well. Outside of that, they are ineffective. They do not rebound well, nor do they play good defense! I think by implementing Harrell at the 4, rather than the 5, it will give us more size and allow us to play better defense and rebound better, as well. In addition, this will free up Dekker to play his regular spot, which is the 3! Currently, Dekker is wore down right now, his jump shot is off and he's not making a difference on the defensive end. I'm disappointed in Dekker's shooting. His jumper is not good. His bricks from 3 are horrible. He's also a 59% free throw shooter. He has A LOT of work to do.
He started off the season good but he wore down, due to playing out of position. He's a true 3 but he's playing against 4s and it's his rookie season.
Dekker wants to get out and run, and he's a good finisher. We also get out-rebounded like crazy with him at PF. So I say put him at the 3.
I agree. Ive said it before but I think as a white wing player in the NBA you need to be able to shoot to get checks.
