Also all this talk about how "They don't reflect their record." is nonsense trash talk. You don't play 61 games and not reflect your record. If you really think that there aren't other great teams that drop games because of lack of effort then y
Whilst I agree that they wont catch us, he needs to be worried about his teammates continues struggles in the last few games. Gordon, Ariza, Dekker and co have been putrid.Capella, Nene(missed his toughness tonight) and Beverley have been only ones showing up granted Beverley was horrible tonight. We are not playing a full consistent game right now.
The Rockets do reflect their record, but I think it is definitely inflated from a December month where they absolutely played well-above their heads. That doesn't mean they aren't very good. They are. But they are not "20-2 for a month" good. They're not getting back to that level of play. Still definitely 3rd in the West, better than the Clippers/Thunder/Grizzlies/Jazz overall, but the consistency has been frustrating in 2017. Just hasn't been there.
Sun will rise tomorrow. If we're 4th, we're 4th. If we're 5th, we're 5th. So what. We're gonna bomb the hell out of teams with threes.
In the end, the Rockets are who they are. A team that lives and dies by the 3 and the performance of their one superstar. We desperately need another guy that can score on his own consistently. Do not bring up Lou and Gordon, they are really great rotational players but we find out why they have not been anything more in their careers. Can the Rockets win the championship? Yes. If they all get hot at the right time then there is literally no stopping their offense. That seems unlikely though. Championship was never even a possibility this season though, I'd settle for a 2nd round matchup with the Spurs/Warriors and a memorable series.
Yup. It was looking for a while that Gordon could be that guy, but I guess the regression should have been predictable. I hoped it wasn't, but oh well. Lou has been frustrating, in my opinion. Takes far too many floaters/runners/off-balance/fadeaways, and isn't finishing around the rim well at all. His skill set looks redundant out there, and honestly that probably should have been predictable as well. However....agreed, this team has surpassed all expectations. No other 1-star team is as good as us. I'm not upset with the results of this season, just hope we put forth a strong playoff showing to attract free agents.
Well we were really " BAD " and even played like " ass " tonight. We were bad-ass tonight but not in a good way.
to Hardenball/Moreyball fans, my being GM would be an absolute nightmare. and no, I wouldn't actually pay Beverley 100 million dollars.
