They either hit 3's or they don't hit 3's. The Spurs game was one of the very few games where we hit a lot and still lost (though we shouldn't have). That's what determines this teams success 9 times out of 10. Our 2nd best player is Eric Gordon or Clint Capela. Of course we're not built for huge playoff success. That's why basketballholic sounds ridiculous every time he talks about "not being a championship team".
The Rockets are a team of average shooters. The stats prove it. The Warriors, the Spurs, and the Cavs are teams with really good shooters. Oh, and the Rockets are not a good defensive team. The Rockets will probably have to play and beat the three top teams in the league in the playoffs to win a chamionship. Seems like a real long shot at this point.
I was at the game 4 days ago where we beat menphis (our potential 1st round matchuo) by a lot. Why cant that be a playoff preview?
That also can; and the Clippers game. We can beat teams - if we get super hot and put in consistent effort.
You play against fringe teams in wildcard. Not really a true first round matchup like a 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, even 4-5 matchup in the NBA playoffs. It's equivalent to like a 7 vs 10 or 8 vs 9 matchup.
Please tell me how the one trick pony all defense team with the only plays on offense consisting of run-run-pass-punt and Osweiler interception.. is better than the Houston Rockets. But don't worry, this year they will finally fix the QB problem. Schaub -> Yates -> Schaub -> Keenum -> Fitz -> Mallett -> Keenum -> Hoyer -> Mallett -> Yates -> Weeden -> Osweiler -> Savage -> Osweiler. But this is the year to the end the carousel!
Oh! So the worst season the Rockets have had in the James Harden era is the absolute ceiling of the Houston Texans. Good to know.
You really need me to explain how winning division title and actually getting past the first round is better than the other? I'm lenient telling sports stuff to my little sister. If you're a grown man who dont understand competitive sports, I wont even bother.
Division title in the worst division in the league. Lol. What an accomplishment. Wild card win against a team that was missing their star QB lol.
In the NBA winning the division literally means nothing though. Rockets could move up to 2nd and still not win their division. Texans have made it past the first round, true...but thanks to the other team not having their starting QB. Reminds me of Portland fans getting hyped that they beat a Clippers team without Blake and CP3. We see how that turned out.
Haven't we been saying this since January though? It's painfully obvious that December was just a hot streak and the majority of the season we've shown to be a decent team with glaring weaknesses.
