that's why you need Ryan Anderson so you can throw him in at the five all you have to do is play five out and space trhe floor for harden and make his ass guard pick and rolls and the perimeter. crash the offensive rebounds until you score. Rudy is not a scoring option, so if ryan can box out and the team rebounds you can put up 40 in a quarter and thats all you need to beat the jazz
They seem to always shoot lights out with us, I've seen them choke away many games but against us for whatever reason they look like the Spurs. I was more worried about the Clippers catching us than the Jazz since the Clips have the experience. People do overreact. What is messed up is if you told them we'd be 3rd in March most of them would have said you were crazy and a homer. These are the growing pains of becoming elite. Nothing is perfect. Nothing is given. The Rockets previous 10 is still good. Lets see if they can find their stroke back and hang onto the 3 seed.
It's easy to say, but you have to face it that this is the way this team is built. They missed a lot of free throws, a lot of threes and Gobert really does make a difference in the paint which is our other strength. Sucks losing this game but the Jazz executed perfectly and slowed down the tempo the whole game. I really don't think we have any players on that bench that would have made a difference. One thing I would love to adjust is for Lou to handle the ball in the second unit. He really has been finding his teammates. When Bev is dribbling he is not really effective in the pick and roll and it just bogs down the offense. I also wish our players would come out with more energy. Besides Bev, I sometimes don't see any of our other players willing to give up their bodies. Clint really needs to learn to box out. Some of those offensive rebounds Gobert got was simply because no one put a body on him. The lazy defensive effort in the first half did not help either. Overall shitty game. We keep losing more games and James is not going to win that MVP.
Rockets took the Jazz lightly, they got smacked. Lackadaisical effort = lackluster lost. We can't blame Ryno for this. No urgency until too late.
The majority of us have adjusted our expectations, I don't see anything wrong with wanting more from this team. We know they have the ability because they been doing it all season. I definitely did not even expect to make the playoffs so I am enjoying this season, but just because I did not expect for this team to do well does not mean that I just have to suck it up. I'm pissed, I want our team to give more effort and be consistent the rest of the season. I really do feel we can make noise in the playoffs and I hate for this great season to be wasted because the effort isn't there throughout.
Team needs to get another PF or SF. I am content with Center position now. I just can't see Morey not doing anything to address the needs of the team before the playoffs begin. The team came out flat for some reason. This on the team to get themselves back in a groove. The bench was supposed be improved but in the last two games have been outplayed.
I don't mind upgrading the sf spot this off season, looks like father time has caught up with Ariza...
