Extremely hot take. The "better run" organization just lost their entire coaching staff, lost a key defender to Baltimore a few years back due to incompetence, and JUST traded up for a QB in the first round who is a bust. Yeah, that's an amazing organization.

The better run organization also just won a super bowl a year ago with the same coaches the other organization had lol.

Awesome. Then they lost all of that right afterwards....and didn't even make the playoffs last year when they still had it.

Yeah but does that result give a Houston ran orgaization a Super Bowl appearance at least?

No, but what bearing does that have on Romo's decision? I'd have to believe that Romo is at least a LITTLE hesitant about joining a team with a rookie head coach.....

So you think the past should matter more than the present? I mean, he IS a former Cowboys QB so that line of thinking might make sense to him, but it doesn't make sense to many others.

Whoopty ****, the Broncos managed a fluke SB win before their team fell to crap.....does that mean they are a good option now? I would argue no.

According to sources, the Broncos would like Romo to take an annual deal in the $10 to $12 million range with active roster/playoff incentives to reach $14 to $15 million. There would also likely be clauses to provide cover for injuries, too, making the structure of the deal fascinating. Manning had to pass yearly physicals on his neck as part of his contract.

Reaching the Superbowl twice in 4 years... And winning no less that 12 games a year during that span. It's not a fluke when you win over 80% of your games over that time frame.

But the Texans are solid with their 9-7 AFC South titles.

Nice to hear this from a Cowboy's fan. The majority of Cowboy fans I've talked to over the years majorly underappreciated Romo. He was excellent for a long time, and despite lack of talent in general, Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones, Romo is the one who got scapegoated the most.

The Broncos first SB appearance in that time frame was one of the biggest blowouts in NFL history, then they got lucky enough to run into Scam Newton in the SB when he was having a Cinderella season that managed to get the Panthers past the legitimately good teams in the NFC before the clock struck midnight.

Anyway, that still has literally nothing to do with the state of the Broncos moving forward and thus has literally nothing to do with a conversation about where a prospective FA would want to go TODAY.

I swear some of you guys are closet Cowboys fans with the ridiculous way you think about the past and try to apply it to the present.

I know Cowboy fans that think they should keep Romo. They trust him more than Dak.

You said they fluked their way to a SB when they had been consistently one of the top 5 teams in the NFL for a 4 year stretch. Odds were that they would win one title over that span. It wasn't a fluke. I'm not talking about the future state of the Broncos...im just pointing out that your assertion of a fluke superbowl is false.

If not for Scam Newton's fluke season, the Broncos play a legit team in the SB and get blown out just like they did the first time.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter because that team doesn't exist anymore. The entire coaching staff is gone including the DC that made that defense good enough to make up for the 2 awful QB's they had to deal with that season. They got their fluke SB win, and now they are back to being a bottom feeder team.

    Tony Romo, QB, 37, Dallas, 6-2, 230
Expected to become a “street” free agent Thursday. It seems like this might be the Broncos’ best bet. Romo is represented by the same Creative Artists Agency (CAA) that represents Brock Osweiler. Can’t imagine CAA would lead Romo to Houston.

What kind of logic is that? Also, it's not as though the Texans disrespected Brock. They gave him every opportunity to succeed at the job.

You're right, the Broncos all world defense had nothing to do with Cam falling apart. Total fluke.
