Posting random Facebook rants aren't exactly a great way to combat the "living in alternate realities" reality we find ourselves in.

I am truly concerned about the mental state some of you on the left will be in when you all realize this whole thing is BS. Some of you may want to stock up on anti-depressants.

I know it's hard to believe, but a lot of us put country over party. We don't view this as a team sport.

So if it turns out all this business with Russian connections were just surprising uncorrelated coincidences, then that's good. I for one would be relieved and happy. That would mean that Putin just wanted Trump to be president b/c he knew Trump would suck as president, and not because Putin knew he had leverage with Trump. That would be a very good thing.

It would still be sub-optimal to have an unhinged narcissist molester as POTUS, *but* it would a ****-load better than what Occam's Razor is suggesting based on the strange evidence before us all.

So you believe it's BS and that's fine. But maybe you can explain why Trump's aides are all lying about their contacts with the Russians? I'm not saying the reason is because they were working with the Russians to undermine the U.S. democratic election. We don't know that yet. I actually hope that wasn't the case.

But I'm curious, why are Trump's aides lying about perfectly acceptable meetings? Since it's all BS, why do you think they are lying and trying to hide their meetings? I would love to your reasons.

If you take the third letter of every seventh paragraph in the book of Hosea, it clearly spells out "Putin."

If it is false I will be happy that the truth came out. I will be relieved to know that the President doesn't have any compromising ties to a foreign government.

If it is true then it obviously needs to be addressed.

I am truly concerned about the mental state of some of you on the right when you think you're following the words of Jesus, but will find yourself experiencing global warming for all eternity in hell after you've callously turned your back on those your deity told you to help. I hope Satan's pharmacies are stocked with anti-depressants!

The GOP leadership are showing their true colors since Trump got elected. No way in hell they will impeach him unless its definitively proven that he is a criminal or a foreign agent. Even then if they can bury it they will. Keep in mind that Trump's base (who is now the GOP base) still approves of Trump. Unless they see that base lose support they won't do sh#%. They will be his accomplice if it means keeping them in power to get their tax breaks on the wealthy. That is literally all they care about & their policies reflect nothing but that.....Fiscal conservativism.... ahhaha. Free market capitalism.... hahha Give me a fu$%ing break.

Look... they are repealing and replacing ACA as we speak. The biggest most important issue to the GOP because it gives the biggest tax break to the wealthy the quickest, and its their avenue to starting Tax Reform. They wont impeach Trump.

2018 is maybe the most important election of our lifetime. Because there is only so much a Trump Authoritarian can change & dismember in 18 to 24 months of unchecked power. 4 Years of un-checked power and you will really start to see our democracy blown up to where it can never recover fully.

Even if you aren't a Democrat you HAVE TO hope that the Democrats at least win back the house in order to provide a check against a power drunk president and corrupt GOP. Keep your maniac Right Wing conspirator President.... Just give the COUNTRY back checks and balances.

Its whats best for our country party aside. You can still push for Conservative legislation sure.... more power to you, but having unchecked power & the ability to get away with violating the Constitution (something he is already doing), potentially engaged in criminal activity, and acting in a treasonous manner to get elected .....is NOT good for this country.

^^ Agree with you. They would even lobotomize their POTUS and put him on a (discreet but strong) leash before impeaching him. Too useful and a very convenient distraction from their agenda of robbing common folk.

Suit yourself. I stand by it. I'll be extremely happy if it turns out Trump is no way compromised or indebted to Russian government, Russian oligarchs, or Russian creditors. That would be a good thing. I was happy he gave a sane, presidential speech, even though I don't like a lot of his policy proposals. I applaud the idea of infrastructure spending, and if he did that right, if he did immigration reform (a humane but strict version), and implemented sane tax reform that wasn't just a boondoggle for the rich (again). If he did those three things and nothing else, then he would win re-election in 2020. You could just book it, and those three things could be overall good for the country and good for our politics. If he pulled that off in a professional way that benefitted the working class in this country, I would tip my hat. And I think a lot of other people would too, whether they post in this forum or not.

But I'm not holding my breath for those things. So far, data is not driving this presidency, and he has a conspiracy theorist for a chief advisor. That's not a good start. But it's never too late to embrace reality and data. It would be great for our country (and probably bad for Democrats long term, but who cares) if the administration would quit fabricating and start embracing logic.
