For those wondering about Trez's playing time, look at moves like this. MDA is all-in. He's simply not going to surround Harden with 2 guys who basically can't shoot out the paint. Meaning he's not giving Trez minutes unless its at center. While I am not opposed to this philosophy, the team will have some thinking to do in the offseason regarding Trez. If he doesn't develop a 35% three point shot, he's still a good player that has value to someone, and hopefully they can trade him then for that value. Why isn't Dekker starting? Because he's sucked lately? Well, sucked is a strong word. He redounded a bit in February, but his 3 point shot has been broken since that exciting first month and a half. December 26.5%. January 32.1%. February 37.5% (yay!). March so far 16.7% (yikes!!).
But the The rockets are a better team than the jazz. Utah has played bad against western conference playoff teams. Your only as good as your record says you are. The rockets have the 3rd best record in the entire league. What more does this team have to do. There 7-3 in there last 10 games. They manhandled two western confrence playoff teams and then lost a toss up game to the Spurs on there home court that was won on a tough 3pt shot by Leonard. I don't get the doubt for this team. They have looked really good outside of the Indy and since the break.
Yup, as a BIG if you can't shoot you are a C. No old school Otis Thorpes in this lineup. MDA wants the floor SPACED for Harden to wreak havoc. A center that rolls and shooters. That is it. I don't see Trez here for the long hall.
I think fans constantly doubt the team because this roster really isn't supposed to have the 3rd best record in the NBA...it's like they're worried that the team might be fool's gold.
it sucks because we've given away games against the Hawks, Pacers, and Spurs...we handle business in those games and all of the sudden we're 21-8 and looking real good
MDA is not going to play bigs at PF that can't space the floor. Just get used to it. That is the offense.
Why not slide Ariza over to 4 and put Harden on the 3? Is it because MDA wants Ariza to guard Hayward?

There's also doubt because sometimes the Rockets don't show up mentally. It hasn't happened much this season given their overall record, but they occasionally have a Miami type game where they simply get outhustled and outworked from the opening tip. Also, the Jazz are an excellent defensive team. If the Rockets aren't making 3's, they're very beatable.
