I've never seen a player experience such a meteoric rise in status due to one basketball game as Kawhi Leonard due to last night's Rockets game.

Leonard is the first player I can remember who went from a good college player to an insane NBA player. Even though curry wasnt a top 5 pick he was insanely good in college. I guess westbrook wasn't great in college, but he was a top 5 pick.

He's a high IQ player that plays the passing lanes. He has worked on his game every year.. San Antonio knows how to evaluate talent. Lol at Indiana for giving him up for George Hill.

Popovich said in 2012 that Kawhi was going to be a star.

Isn't this the same thing people say about Lebron?

What has Irving done on his own? How about Love, dude is either perpetually injured or missing the playoffs. Bosh and Dwade combined for 0 pts on Lebron's final Miami playoff game.

Parker is a role player? How many allstars does he have vs Bev? Lamarcus is 4-19 every game? Well he must take 9 fts a game then cuz he averages 17 pts a game. Gasol vs Ryan Anderson who you think is better? And Gasol is a bench on the Spurs whereas Anderson is a starter and the Rox's 2nd highest paid player. Again wtf.

Stick Kawhi on the Cavs in place of LeBron during last year's finals and I think they lose 4-1.

Kawhi is the next LeBron, but he will never be as good as LeBron was because he doesn't have the playmaking ability that LeBron does. Better shooter and defender though.

If Kawhi and Ben Simmons fused you'd probably have the greatest basketball player of all time, from what little I've seen of Ben Simmons' game.

Too many non-Rocket fans on this forum lately. Legitimately only purpose here is to troll.

Red, you're a LeBron groupie, it's no surprise you'd say something against me. And that's cool. Again, i find it funny when you guys act hypersensitive. I love this forum as much as you do. My time on this board shows that.

Thumbs up on the middle video.

But shame on any Rockets fan who roots for the Lakers or those Heat teams over the Spurs.

Also lol, "you're cool". Says the guy that has an aneurysm every time LeBron is mentioned in a positive light on this forum.

    SpursTalk is that way.

Lol, I never said you were cool. Taking up on LeBron's arrogant character now? Anyway, I'm going nowhere. I'm laying down my opinion here and if no one likes it you can continue to not like it. I spent way too much time explaining myself to people who only see one way is the only way when there's irony/ hypocrisy likely in some aspect of how you follow your favorite team or player as well.

I'd take the Heat over the Spurs. I hate the Lakers.

It does not say in any documents that a Rox fan should automatically vote for the Spurs as their second fav team........ no matter how good Duncan, RC Buford or Popovich was.

    Screw the Alamo!

Harden was never going to win it if 1 game can push Kawhi past him or if Westbrook can win as an inefficient 7 seed. Media will choose who they want to win, and does anybody really think they want Harden to win?

    Nope

You can put me on that list. Just like many Texans fans will never root for the Cowboys, I will never root for the Spurs. I really do not subscribe to the "for the land" fan rooting. That's for college. Screw Dallas and SAS.

Why say "shame on Rockets fans"? Who wouldn't you say that to? You sound more like you are coming from "Shame on anyone" territory, because you hated the idea of the Superfriends. I didn't root for them. But, I damn sure rooted against the Spurs.

I even rooted for Malone/Payton Lakers to beat them, just couldn't bring myself to root for Spurs. And I just prayed Detroit would beat the Lakers. And I thought DET was better designed to beat the Lakers than the Spurs.

It's not just the 1 game. The Spurs now have a legitimate shot at having the best record in the league. That's a big deal.
