I don't care what rd a guy is picked in when he's proven himself in the NFL like Wagner has. He would be a massive upgrade over Newton/Clark.

Not about Mahomes at all. He's just a bonus.

Wagner solves the long standing RT problem. Dawkins improves the OG position and provides depth at OT at the expense of Bouye. Good thing is this is a deep DB draft and KJO is coming back. magine adding a vet QB like Romo or Cutler with Savage backing him up and young QB like Mahomes sitting and learning and these QB's playing behind a young talented OL.

    Brown/XSF/Martin/Dawkins/Wagner with Mancz/Allen as reserves

    Cutler/Savage/Mahomes

Miller/Drafted RB in this deep class

    Nuk/WFIV/Miller/Strong/Williams

    Fiedo/Anderson/Drafted TE

Think this offense could be middle of the pack to go with this defense? I do

I think that could be an absolute best case scenario and given how much he has to learn before he could see the field it would be a year or two before we could even start to find out if the miracle best case scenario happens or if it's something less than that. I also don't think he'll be there at 25 given how terrible this year's QB class is. He could be the first QB taken because everyone else sucks so hard.

He didn't last season, but I think it'll be different this season. Then again, nothing would surprise me.

If you pick up Cutler and draft my homie, Savage will be gone. We've been over this. There's no scenario where Savage is still here after a QB is drafted and another one signed. That means that you are one RT blown assignment away from having Osweiler as the QB for the rest of the season even if Cutler or Romo are picked up......and that's assuming that Cutler plays well enough to not get benched, which isn't a given after how godawful he was last season. To me, that's a damn good reason to address RT in the first round.

There are two schools of thought. Make as many picks as possible because it's a total crapshoot or use the picks you have to move up and choose players that you believe perfectly fit your scheme. I have no issue with either philosophy and see merit in both. A giant portion of the decision-making process hinges on what situation your team finds itself in and on how talent laden the particular draft is.

You're kidding if you think you can keep teams from Savage and Mahomes. You will have to have 3 QBS on the active roster.

Dion Dawkins is an OT/OG prospect in this year's draft out of Temple.

I addressed RT with Wagner who is more day 1 ready than any OT you ca draft. Whoever is your starting QB if your RT goes down and your QB gets hurt Os plays if Savage is let go. Os probably plays even if Savage is here along with another vet QB.

They aren't carrying 4 QB's.....Also, you are going to pay Wagner more than 8 mil a year? That's what it would take to land him. I think drafting the position is a much smarter idea than blowing valuable cap space on a FA OT.

I would carry 4 QB's, because I never want to see Os touch the field as a Texan again.

Yes, I would pay Wagner 8 mil a yr to fix the longstanding RT issue. I would use 8 of the 12 mil that was going to Bouye to pay for Wagner. Then draft the best CB I could find in the 3rd/4th rd.

Well, maybe you would carry 4 QB's, but there is no chance the Texans will so there's not much point in talking about it. Just accept that if you want someone like Cutler and you want my homie, then you want Savage traded.

We might see them drop that kind of cap space into a FA O lineman, but going that route ended pretty poorly last season.....I still say the better option is the draft but we'll see.

I just don't think any team would ever carry four quarterbacks. Some don't even like to carry three. Osweiler will be cut after June 1 at the very earliest but most likely not until after the 2017-18 season. As Bobby has said, Savage is the most likely to go if they bring in Cutler/Romo and draft a guy in the first three rounds. They could probably get a late-round pick for him at least.

And I think your Wagner and then DB in the middle rounds of an epic DB class has real merit. But so do some of the other moves out there like re-signing Bouye plus getting Romo/Cutler and then taking an OT in the first. I'm excited to see what they do. It's always fun.

Allen was hurt for a significant chunk of the year and was switched from LG in KC to RG here. Hopefully he can rebound. His contract isn't tough to get out of fortunately if he doesn't.

The Pats carried 4 QB''s Brady's rookie yr and that worked out pretty well.

For the record now way the Texans carry 4 QB's, I would though. Cut a RB if it means Brock never sees the field.

Even if you carried 4 QB's, he'd still likely see the field if whatever retread you picked up got hurt.
