Jazz and bull have good defence which trains houston to get more rebounds. Pacers spurs memphis are good test for houston. Spurs always take the wins at last minutes which houston cannot keep the win. All the players need to concentrate every minutes. Making one mistakes will lose the match or blow the lead. Houston has a good lesson learnt
Actually we only face Utah one more time, tomorrow night at Toyota Center. If the Rockets take care of business in that one, they win the season series 2-1 and all but lock up the 3rd seed.
Not worried that Houston lost at all, but am worried about how they lost it's the same way we lost to Indiana and other teams with size. REBOUNDING, the Rockets are getting killed on the glass. I thought PB should have played more minutes at the end of the game mainly because of his rebounding. David Lee killed us. In all honesty solving the rebounding problem gets us past the Spurs in the play-offs.
That's where Anderson's injury came into play. Ordinarily, D'Antoni would not be playing Ariza at the 4 guarding Gasol.
Lower back tightness. Hopefully it's not too serious, but he doesn't exactly have the best track record with injuries. If we have to, we can insert Dekker into the starting lineup and play Harrell off the bench.
He was out with back tightness. I have little doubt Anderson's passive gravity ability would have been valuable down the stretch.
Gotcha, thanks. Didn't hear that while watching the game last night. Probably because Sean Elliott couldn't stop crying about everything and slobbering on the spurs collective dong
Bull and Craig mentioned it late in the game. I was watching it off and on, so it never even occurred to me he wasn't out there til they brought it up.
Frustrating loss, especially when we played so well most of the game only for them to execute better at the end. Rockets are clearly not on the Spurs level, in both late-game execution as well as game-to-game consistency. Was expecting a loss but was hopeful during the game only to get disappointed at the predictable ending.
Our 2nd unit still has things to define. Details, but important ones. Somebody else notices the difference when the first ball handler is Beverley and with Lou Williams? Don´t know how to balance that one, because it is clearly helping Bev´s game, but is hurting Lou´s scoring. Good game, sad to see us lose. We gave a couple of easy baskets at differente times on the game, and that is the point where I disagree the most with D´Antoni. SAS, GSW, CLE, if you want to beat them, you can´t give easy baskets at any point. We had the game and we gave it away. Amazing to see the duel Kawhi vs Harden, I even saw Harden engaged playing defense mid 4thQ. On to the next one, tomorrow game is a big one.
Lou is not playing up to par and Morey is sitting back while publicly saying the title window is now. We need a REBOUNDING BIG!!! We kept it close so that's a good sign and we knew the Spurs were better so it's not shocking. Harden showed up at least. I rather be the 4-5 seed and play GSW than the Spurs right now.
RELAX. Lou is a bench player. He's not going to score 20 points every night. He had a terrible game last night, against a fantastic team.
Lets be realistic. No one outside of Harden played well and the Spurs got contribution from the corpse of Parker(unlikely to happen to often) and probably the best Kawhi has ever played and they still got lucky. If we had gotten our NORMAL contributions from everyone we would have won easily. The Spurs are not that good. If we bring our A game I am confident we can take them. We probably played our C or at best B game and they brought their A gameand we still should have won.
Beverley was OK. Anderson was OK Everyone else was kinda flat. Williams was just broken. Maybe he short-circuited because he's never been on a team that can beat the Spurs. HUGE miss by Nene when he got that offensive board in the final minute, and sort of panicked and tried to force a shot. Also, terrible game by the refs. Huge ebbs and flows of everything getting called, and then nothing getting called, and nothing consistently.
We were in such a groove offensively at the start of the game, but collapsed at the end (officiating definitely did not help) It's like Pop is MDA's kryptonite
We lost that game cause Lou was 1-10. We brought Lou in to keep the scoring going while Harden sits. When he doesn't score or create, it's like back to the old days of having no other playmakers/scorers outside of Harden. It's still early for Lou so he has time to figure it out. Ryan not coming back hurt also. Ariza needs a slump buster in his life.
