That messup was on Nene. It was semi-reasonable to try and trap Kawhi on the catch, but once he got to the outside you have to commit the foul immediately.
My post game analysis.....Rocket's lead by 6....phantom call on Aiza (didn't get within 6 inches of him) and crap on the other end..and you have a 1 point game. Refs weren't going to let the Rockets win.
Pencil this one in for the refs. I hate to blame the refs but damn those were momentum changing calls throughout the 4th! Ridiculous! For the record rockets did foul multiple times in the finals secs but refs swallowed the whistle the one time they shouldn't have in this game.
This. Rockets up by 7 and pulling away, refs with some phantom calls, that Parker lane violation and Ariza phantom foul. Credit Leonard at the end but refs made sure Houston didn't pull away there at the end.
Execution at the end. The Spurs are possibly the best team at finishing games. The Rockets had a bunch of mistakes, Kawhi played his ass off, and the Spurs still only managed to squeak by. Sucks that we lost, but we are right there with the Spurs and this game just proved that the Rockets are contenders.
