Can you give some historical examples of someone like Trump -- an established liar, conspiracy theorist, and egomaniac -- coming in and bringing about something better?
It is arguable whether Stalin brought about something better. It is almost certain that the Kim family has not brought about something better, and Mao, is also arguable. It depends on the cost, how much credit he gains for what was done after, etc.
Oh please. No one has said there wasn't surveillance. We could have been surveilling the Russian ambassador, for instance. But Trump said that Trump Tower was wiretapped, and moreover Obama ordered it which would be against the law. That's a much stronger claim, and there has yet to be evidence presented that it is true. Mark Levin's attempt to connect the dots based on uncorroborated reports doesn't do it. Let's wait and see what the results of the investigation are.
No, he said Obama ordered the surveillance, I think Obama should be able to take him to court for that.
If we were to eliminate the bias on this board, you'd have been gone a long time ago . Funny how you posted the story as if it were true. You make Kellyanne Conway look reasonable ("alternative facts" putting Orwell back at #1 on Amazon.com). You did put in the "if true" bit, but that's just an aside that "Spicey" and his crew used as well. This is all just a diversionary tactic from Trump; the Schumer-Putin-Krispy Kreme scandal just wouldn't take hold, so he went nuclear. Even Comey, who helped Trump get elected, is trying to push the DOJ to go on record calling this a lie. Naturally the DOJ won't incur a tweet-rage.
Bill Gates was a lying, cheating, thief turned greatest of all time humanitarian and futurist. Steve Jobs is another but he continued to be an ******* until he died. Political examples is tougher because of bias but closer to home, most Texas Revolutionaries were awful human beings. More or less awful than a Santa Ana not for me to say. More modern folks like Ghandi (was openly racists against Blacks and perhaps anti-Semitic, sexual deviant) and Nelson Mandela who ordered executions and was really really friendly with African warlords and dictators. Both treated as world heroes.
Remember when folks thought Kellyanne Conway joining the Trump campaign would add a degree of stability and substance? LOL, yea, that sure happened... Conway blames Trump's wiretap dust-up on 'double standard' http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/trump-wiretap-obama-kellyanne-conway-235714
This is the thing that cracks me up. He's the president. He has access to whatever the agencies in the executive branch has done. If there is evidence, he can produce it. If for confidentiality reasons he can't produce it, he can at least say he learnt of the wiretap from internal sources. But he hasn't even said that. Asking Congress to investigate doesn't make any sense to me. @ipaman, yes, Trump is just like Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.
