This song gets me every time!!! Losing a loved one, and even more so a child is the hardest thing that you will ever experience!!! Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead.... Too young too dumb to realize.......now my baby dancing with another man... ....... ....... .......
A couple from Glen Campbell's last album, especially poignant if you know someone afflicted with Alzheimer's.
Yall best believe Im going to search all these songs tonight. But for sure Simple Man- Shinedown cover
Never been a big Mayer fan (although I respect his guitar playing), but this one was played at my bother's funeral and I have never been able to get through the whole thing since. The lyrics definitely applied to me, but they never will again......
OK, I was covering this event and there was not a dry eye in the building during this song - The bluegrass-gospel group The Isaacs wrote this for their mom who survived cancer & I believe it was Martina McBride that made it a hit around 2012. This was from the National Quartet Convention in 2011 and at the end of the song, a lot of cancer survivors climb onstage with signs describing their cancer-story. It was incredibly moving.
I forgot about this one. It's one from the lead singer of the Judy's. By the way if you haven't listened to them in a while go back and do it, if for no other reason just to appreciate Jeff Walton's bass playing. Amazing.
