Thread title should be changed to "FISA court approved FBI request to monitor Trump campaign communications with Russia" Amusing that Republicans are outraged today that the FISA court would approve the monitoring of an American citizen. What happened to "If you did nothing wrong you have nothing to fear!" or "this is about the security of America!" FISA requires probably cause that the subject is an agent of a foreign power, be it a government or terrorist organization. So Donald has confirmed for us that the FISA court felt there was probably cause to show that at least a few members of his team were potentially agents of Russian intelligence, even if unknowingly.

Just to be clear, as a non-Democrat that is not in favor of Trump... 1) If Obama did order surveillance of Trump without a warrant, that should be a crime and he and anyone who participated should be punished 2) If surveillance information was given over to political operatives to use against Trump during a campaign, that should also be a crime and anyone who participated should be punished 3) If there was a warrant for surveillance on Trump, given everything that has gone on now, we should have a special prosecutor at this point evaluate everything and issue a report to Congress.

If he did bug trump why didn't he leak it to the press that the FBI was investigating trump for Russian ties? That would have helped Hillary.

A Federal Judge has to approve a wire tap, this would mean that there was enough evidence to approve the tap, which means that Trump was thought of as a national security risk by a federal judge. DD

I agree, If Obama did have spy equipment illegally installed then there should be a criminal investigation. However we are talking about Donald Trump. Thus the likelihood of it being true is less than 1%. He and his administration is the least honest administration in 150 years.
